Castillo comes forward all night...that's not Pacquiao. Wherever you move Castillo is.

You can move around the ring at will while Pacquiao bounces in and out. His gameplan does not involve cutting the ring off.

And Floyd won that fight, last I checked.

 

Floyd is for the casual fans and joboys.
If a fighter is not concerned with the history books then I am not concerned with him. Quite frankly what Floyd has done as a Welter the last 5 years is a joke. No matter what is believed about his skills he has yet to face 1 prime HOF fighter.

And yes he got schooled by Castillo in the first fight and contrary to those who say he is great at ad******g he made no adjustments in the CHAMPIONSHIPS ROUNDS and got hit more and more as the fight went on while returning less and less after the first 4 rounds.

Spot on and I agree. I have never felt this fight is going to be particularly competitive. Manny will have his moments, but he will lose by a significant decision margin or possibly get stopped late depending on how much he decides to go for broke.

I don't just see Manny losing, I see him losing convincingly. Arum wants to cash out on Manny as much as he can before throwing him to Mayweather in a fight I guarantee Arum knows Manny will lose despite what he says in public/in front of cameras.

 

Floyd couldn't make grandpa Mosley miss rusty and all as a 3 round fighter,
he couldn't make Zab Judah miss early and he couldn't make Castillo miss over 170 power shots while landing 60 so how even older now will he do that against the best offensive fighter he has ever faced and then some ?

Spinks is right. Part of the equation Floyd fans seem to not acknowledge.

 

That's because emmanuel work rate gets lowered significantly if you have good timing, countering, and the proper footwork.

Since we're on the topic of lowering workrate let's not forget Floyd is a clinch master, something emmanuel has never had to deal with much.

Floyd also has superior judgement and control of distance than manny does.

 

It's called: "breaking down styles and a fight." It is my opinion, I am a fan of both fighters, and have watched them both a very long time.

You didn't say **** in your post in regard to actual boxing strategy. Just saying. I'll just throw a small tidbit out there for you: Manny doesn't have an effective jab. The punch stats are there to prove it as is the fight video. It is used to measure/range his punches, he doesn't really use it with conviction.

That is an average of 15.85% of jabs landed for Pacquiao.

Even if you thought Floyd lost to Castillo, and Floyd won, he was still learning as a young champion. The Castillo fights taught Floyd a lot. Too bad you're too into criticizing Floyd. No one can run up on Floyd and out muscle him. You can't outbox him either. Will age catch up to Floyd? Possible.

 

He's undefeated so what has Floyd NOT done when it came to fighting that Spinks is talking about? Spinks has an opinion like us. He can give a spot on, detailed analysis, and be dead wrong. Boxing isn't math. You can't predict an answer in math, but you can in boxing.

 

To a degree. But to enough of a degree? Pac will be the first man to make Floyd have to fight him off. Hatton was an open face first brawler that could too easily be picked apart, and DLH had the range and jab (And Floyd won with movement and ring generalship). Floyd might be out of his comfort having to constantly fight Pac off. Floyd fans love to bring up Marquez and Morales but they both counter-punched AND fought Pac off them. If you don't think Floyd has to earn Pac's respect, then you're deluded.

So you're saying Floyd's going to out Wlad Manny? That would be disappointing. I thought Floyd fans thought he would win because of superior boxing ability. I don't know if Floyd would clinch Pac much. Pac explodes from a mid to long range so that could be dangerous (Remember Floyd is the superior in-fighter. Why would he want to clinch Pac?).
