When was the last time FLoyd fought more than once per year? I mean he has a tendency to go on vacation every year. It's like he is a part-time boxer and when he does fight, he carefully selects his opponent. Floyd would get more respect if he fought more than once per year and fight the top contenders. I feel like Floyd fans are being exploited and they seem not to care.

Yep, hes doing what Oscar did, because thats pretty much whos lead hes been following. He realizes that the more time between fights the more interest and money he will make. But, yes that can work against him though, because inactivity is bad especially for older fighters.

As a fan, I want to see him be more active.

There should be a rule in place that all boxers must fight 3 times a year at the least as long as they don't take too much damage from fights 1 and 2.

It seems like Floyd fights 3 times every 2 years.

He is a grown man that can make his own decisions. He's in the twilight of his career so just ENJOY IT when he does climb into the ring and RESPECT IT when he chooses to chill. He owes us nothing.

    2007.

    De la Hoya and Hatton.

Basically the DLH fight made him the spoiled guy he is.

There wouldn't be anyone to fight if he did that

  11. He gets a hard-time and sometimes it is deservedly so. But if you look at his record it really is impressive. If he fights three or four more times undefeated and thats him, imo he would be top 20 atg at least.
    I'm not a ***** before you ask.

All he's doing is taking time off, coming back to make another check and padding that record. He's not fighting anybody that can beat him. A featherweight Marquez, HAtton, grandpa Mosley never had a chance , but people continue to buy into the hype. The real threats out there were avoided ... a prime Pacquiao, Cotto, Margo, a younger Shane, the list goes on. Floyd's just a circus act now as far as I'm concerned. I bet you his PPV numbers continue to drop as people aren't buying into it anymore. Pacquiao at least can fight no-hopers and make it look exciting. Floyd just stinks the joint out.

Most sensible postings in a Floyd thread ever. Just happy he's still fighting.
