Taylor with Mosley's pop and punch resistance might get a decision if Oscar fights stupid. But, he wasn't physically powerful or durable enough to put Oscar into that kind of situation. The only thing he has on Oscar in the main attributes is speed. He'd get stopped.

Damn fast, but I certainly think the fastest Taylor is just a tic faster than the fastest Oscar. It was Taylor's greatest attribute. Like lightning. I think if Meldrick had the right strategy and a better corner, he could beat DLH by decision. Meldrick had good footwork when he used it and assuming DLH wasn't on coke at the time, he could conceivably hurt DLH with the shots DLH doesn't see.

oscar loses by split. it's would be a big fight and we all know how he does in big fights. taylor is not arturo gatti an washed up yuri boy campos.
Oscar would certainly have trouble with Taylor's flashy flurries and speed at certain points but Meldrick didn't fight smart in the same way that Oscar doesn't to be honest. Meldrick would no doubt get drawn into a firefight and he could come off clearly second best. On the outside Oscar would be ramming that jab in his face. Oscar would break him down and knock him out towards the latter rounds. Probably in the 7th or 8th. Different class of fighter at the end of the day. Both athletically gifted, Meldrick's athletic gifts just happened to beat heaped in speed. Oscar had bags of both speed and power.
Taylor is one of the fastest fighters I've ever seen, so he has to get the edge in hand speed. Everything else however is Oscar's. Both have defensive liabilities but Oscar is definitely more powerful and also fast himself. Oscar KO
I say at 140 Taylor would outpoint Oscar, Taylor was probably the fastest fighter of all time as far as hand speed goes. He was unreal. Oscar would time him right eventually and put him in trouble but speed kills in the end.
