Vitali beat Byrd every round, he quit to save his shoulder...smart move, all these years later he is still fighting and a world Champion. As for Lewis, again Vitali was winning every round, the fight was stopped because of a thumb to the eye causing a cut.Vitali is undefeated, never knocked down once in his boxing career. So in his two losses/injuries he out boxed both men :good
Thumb to the eye..hahahahaha. I'd like to know who he has beaten of any note that makes him comparable to a.t.g's
He has outboxed everyone putted in front of him. One of the highest KO % of all time. Never been knocked down.. Returned after a 4 year lay off, to win a title in his first fight and then went on to reign.. That makes him an ATG..
Anyway once old/out of shape lewis settled down he started to box vitali not really outbox, a prime lewis would out box him for sure.
Babble..he's outboxed tomato cans..so what,I like both the klitchkos, but to compare them to the likes of Ali ,foreman etc is just insanity of the highest order.
He was easily landing punches on Vitali the whole time, eyerything he threw touched him. I don't buy that Vitali knocked him out either, it was clearly a leg injury that stopped the fight. A rematch would be interesting.
The official scorecards were onesided in favour of Klitschko. Imo fight was much closer. Vitaly won the first 3 or 4 rounds, after that Byrd was very competitive and came on strong after round 6.
If Solis gets his **** together a rematch would be great. But Vitali always fights like this for the first round or two. Takes the big man a while to warm up and being the consummate professional he is he doesn't neglect his chin in this process. But I do believe, for all Solis's skill, Vitali worked him out within the first two minutes and baited him very well. Can't agree on the TKO though. Too much footage showing Solis falling into that temple tap.
So You will see how heart, skill and faith would overcome size on the 10th of September... WAR ADAMEK!!!
