You can get hard punchers who with more skills would be able to find the sweet spot more. Most recognise Earnie Shavers as a scary puncher.

Valero=NO CHANCE! If you're looking at K.O heavy records, Alfonso Zamora is right up there for pure power.

Jackson, Wilde, Langford, Hearns, Cuevas, Arguello, Louis all great shouts.

Shavers has pure power, but no application.

I will come up with more when I'm on my lunch break.

Yeah i agree Flea, Velero doesnt cut it for me at all. Louis is obviously a great shout, although his opposition can also be critised if we delve deep enough.

wilde, indeed was a top level puncher. but so was archie moore, mike tyson, joe louis, julian jackson, wladimir klitschko, sam langford, etc.

robinson is also a good shout in my opinion.

    George Foreman
    Sandy Saddler

Bazooka Gomez also has a "KO heavy" record that Flea was referring to.

    Wlad is a no-no IMO.

Saddler and Foreman were beasts, as Gaz pointed out. Gomez was just an offensive beast, it was his punch picking as much as his power that saw him blitz so many quality fighters.
