Of all the big fights coming up, I feel that Bute/Johnson has the biggest potential for upset.

Against Cloud, and Froch, Johnson gassed, around the halfway mark. It was noticeable that he was sucking wind and laboring. His cardio seemed a little better against Green, but that fight didn't go the distance. Odds are that Johnson will gas about half way through, like he did against Cloud and Froch. If so, Johnson will be the best opponent that Bute has ever faced for those 5 or 6 rounds that he has gas in the tank. He will definitely be in the fight, possibly even winning at that point. Then the tank will run dry, and Johnson will end up losing a decision.

depends on which group Bute Belongs in of the last 5 years

group A (elite fighters Johnson cant ever beat)

group B (club level fighters he will always beat)

Johnson is good enough to lose to all the big boys and still look respectful...but somehow has 15 losses and the guys he has beaten latley are espn2 caliber fighters

so yes, its a farce of a fight....

Johnson split two fights with Tarver, went 1-1-1 with Woods (arguably should have gone 3-0), and ran Dawson very close in their first fight. So, I'd say he's capable of scoring wins over elite fighters from time to time. :deal

It is Butes toughest fight to date.
That is more because of Butes past history rather than how great Johnson is....

I have just tricked you all. I have exposed all of the above posters as lacking knowledge of boxing styles!!!! my word it's shocking how bad some people perceive styles!

Johhnon's MAJOR weakness is fighting a guy who fights off the back foot!!!! Dawson did it in their rematch and Froch did it in his fight!!!

Froch is a much better boxer and better pressure fighter than Bute but Bute fights off of his back foot much better than Froch and that's what won the fight for Froch more than anything!! Bute will dance around Johnson all night long back peddling and scoring points with high work rates.

I cannot believe so many posters ignored my HUGE hint at the start of the thread and even started abusing me!

Just like my Froch vs Abraham thread ridicule me all you like but I am right. Words fail me; truly they do.

Its much better than the goof balls Bute has been fighting lately. Why doesn't Showtime just cut him a check for $250,000 to go a few rounds on the heavy bag and jump rope for a few rounds in the ring at some casino in North Dakota?

Well there are those who say Johnson is tailor made for Bute and that the fight is a joke. And then there are those who say Johnson is a better version of Andrade and that this time Bute is not getting up. Where it gets very interesting however, its that people that say either all hate Bute. Dont you people see the irony and lack of mental discipline when you make theses comments.

Dude claims he is "only" 42 years old,has 15 losses and coming off another loss and can go only 6 rounds before he tires. His best days are behind him and he is going in for a retirement cheque. That is the way it really is.

The real question is... do I change my name if Glen loses? or do I change my avatar if Bute loses?
