Hi all, Since I got alot of **** and wind from my 20 Greatest fighters of all time thread, I'm asking the thread giants to post THEIR 20 greatest fighters of all time and with rhyme and reason as to why they rate them that way! Would like to see what we come up with and perhaps we can find out the 20 Greatest based on weighted responses! Calling out: This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected Just to name a few. Don't duck me! :bbb
I have to guys. See the thread to which this thread is reffering... http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=339093 I got hellfire and brimestone for my list. Yet no one else has posted their list. Amazing! Let's see some of those guys put up or shut up! (Don't duck me!)
I seen it mate, and not meaning to be a ******* but in my opinion, your list was very bad, but at least you put it up.
1. Evander Holyfield 2. Jung-Koo Chang 3. Saensak Muangsurin 4. Davey Moore 5. Julio Cesar Chavez 6. Eder Jofre 7. Howard Winstone 8. Tommy Morrison 9. Monroe Brooks 10. Lionel Rose 11. Sugar Ramos 12. Lennox Lewis 13. Masao Ohba 14. Daisuke Naito 15. Joey Archer 16. Gorilla Jones 17. John Conteh 18. Georgie Benton 19. Jem Driscoll 20. Koki Kameda
I understand you may be put alot of work into the list, but really... that list is more of a "20 Favorite fighters of all time" than "20 Greatest Fighters of a time". Vitali above Armstrong, Pacquiao etc... I mean come on.
I started watching the new Era of boxing around the days my parents were watching DLH, JCC, MAB, MORALES... I can be honest and say I do not have the knowledge it takes to make a list like that.
At least try.... try! Or don't heartfully critisize someone for putting up theirs! :bart I can understand that. But we all have access to the inner-nets. We can watch youtube and see old rankings and records... make a decent attempt. Put some of your guys up their and see what shakes loose. The thing is- and why I really don't pay much stock into the analysts nowadays- that we think we can't make one because we may not have an idea of what the guys of yesteryear may have done under different circumstances and times. I happen to think that isn't a weakness in the analysis but a strength- you get to put more merit into your rating by being blind to some of the other era's in fightings' strengths and weaknesses. The only thing you need to know is to NOT pay attention into today's **** and wind chatter of the greatest p4p now. Other than that... fans like us can make a better list than the Bert Sugar's and Max Kellerman's Try! :thumbsup I happen to think Wlad is overrated. I also can agree that Armstrong deserves alot more attention than my initial list gave him. To that I yield... but I will NOT ride the Pac-**** train and rank him higher than any of the other fighters in my top 20, not the top 20 and honourable mention, but the real deal top 20 GOAT list. :rasta
