I remember Alexeev was considered a sure fire, can't miss prospect at CW a few years ago. The next big thing.

He's been "exposed" since then as lacking a chin, heart and he also seems to have stamina issues. He's not completely lacking in any but he certainly has a lack of all to some degree. Some say Ramirez ground him down and took his soul. I'm not sure if I disagree.

I've heard it said that American Kendrick Releford was beating him as well before he mysteriously quit. Releford was Arreola's last opponent before the recent Ahuyana fight,

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyway, onto Ismail. He's a spoiler. An iron chin and very defensively slick. He was the first fighter to take David Haye the distance.

He's a cruiser but recently has fought at heavyweight. He took hard hitting heavy prospect Mike Perez the distance not too long ago.

He's also extremely active. 6 fights so far in 2001, another three scheduled for this year. He also fought 7 times in 2010.

Alexeev has shown stamina problems. Will Ismail take him into deep waters? In the past year Alexeev has only gone 8 rounds. He's been brutally stopped twice. He's only been Max Alexander 10 rounds once, against Max Alexander. This fights scheduled for 10.

Thoughs? Ismail is a 20 to 1 underdog at some places.

Also, if I'm remembering correctly Alexeev's skin marks up terribly.

Seeing as how Abdoul is impossibly to stop, that might be a factor in the fight.

Yeah, Alexeev is a glass jawed fraud. His opponents were cherrypicked for his title run, and Abdoul has fought much bigger fighters and has only been stopped by a World Champ Wlodarchic.

Abdoul has fought into the championship rounds, his exp is so very much great than Alexeev's that even though Abdoul can be outboxed, or in some case outmuscled(Perez), I would have to think that he'll see every opening to counter the taller fighter, and catch him on his chin early and often.

If anything this should be a pickem, but who knows, Oktay Urkal is involved and this could be a dive waiting to happen, but IDK, if Abdoul was gonna be diving it would've been vs Perez, so I think he's coming to fight, and IMO, coming to KTFO Alexander Alexeiv.

You think Abdoul has ever taken a dive before? Not a blatant one of course. He seems to go through the motions at times against prospects, almost like he's there to give them rounds but not endanger him.

I don't know Alexeev's value anymore. He was hot **** at one time but he's been brutally stopped twice now.

Where you seeing 20-1 odds? At those odds i'll have a punt but bet365 has him at 8-1

Still think Alexeev will win a decision

    Alexeev vs a journeyman.

Of course Alexeev will win. And of course it won't mean anything when he does.

Adamek beat Abdoul before he became a gatekeeper (when it meant something).
