40 and they've only made 1 semi-final series since 1989. I have a soft spot for the Rabbitohs but that was the most passionless performance for a side that really should be Top 4 material. It's not as if they have money problems Crowe has given them state of the art facilities,several rep players from both NZ and OZ. It's not like when they first got back in and Adam Muir was their marquee signing. My parents go on about Sattler,Brannighan,McCarthy and the pride of the Cardinal and Myrtle but last nights performance was garbage.
They crap on about merged clubs and how they've never sold out except to a movie star for a paltry 3 million dollars but at least St.George/Illawarra,West/Tigers actually give their supporters something to look forward to after round 26. Whats the point of corporate sponsorship and high membership when the fans thats right the fans who pay there membership fees and love their club and attend each and every game with there thermos's filled with hotdogs and smuggling in buttered hot dog buns are being let down by a bunch of highly paid superstars who bar a few instances the win over the Dragons for example are content to just cop the big dollars and seemingly don't give a ****.?

I dont feel let down, i've been a member for years & go to most home games & some away games

I havent for a moment this year thought that the players havent had a dig, i challenge you to show me a player who hasnt? A pretty **** injury toll has had an effect this year, but **** happens

 

Crowe didnt buy the club, he effectively bought the management rights, the members retain a percentage of the club & hold sway over most of the cultural effects, jumper, colours, city in which we play etc

crowe at least isnt like the mercenaries who buy American teams & EPL teams, people who have no cultural affinity with the entity which they purchase, Crowe "buying" Souths clearly wasnt a financial decission, nobody has or will make any cabbage from owning Rugby leagues clubs, the opposite is a way more distinct proposition

Crowe has done more for Rugby League than most realise & is in a position to do a lot more.

I dont care about the merged teams, if that would have befallen Souths i would have walked away from rugby league in a second like i did when we got turfed, for mine the lemmings who let that happen to their "traditional" old teams have done nothing other than bend over & take it up the blurter

John Sutton a guy wth the talent to be an Australian,N.S.W rep player but is more interested in punching cones with the Bra Boys. His performance last night I wouldn't even call **** because that would be an insult to players who have had **** performances. Jeez when Fletcher an ex Easts player played for you although you were lowly placed always played his guts out. Sutton a Souths junior who IMO has the size and skills to be as good as SBW doesn't give a ****. Suppose it gives him more time to surf and smoke bongs after mad Monday.
