I think Jack Johnson beats Lennox Lewis easy.Lewis is mean and nasty.but johnson is meaner, stronger and tougher than just about anyone.I think a focused Johnson beats lennox like hes a novice.
I was being sarcastic. I have seen several threads lately arguing that the boxers of today are an evolution in the sport, when in reality there has only been a devolution of skills.
Agree, but in general, I feel that today's current talent pool is not anywhere near the level as it was even thirty years ago. Disclosure: I am an old fart.
It is. These fights prove two point however. 1. Johnson did not just beat up on smaller opponents like his critics claim. Far from it in fact. 2. Johnson did not have stylistic issues with bigger fighters.
I only produced them to show that Johnson did indeed face many tall men with excellent jabs, I did not claim they were as good as Lewis. Without filmed evidence, you can only assume this,so it is" not a fact". If you read my other post ,I gave all due praise to Lewis as a very difficult prospect for any other heavyweight champ. ps With your name ,shouldn't you be on the horse racing forum ?

I have a fight report ,which I am happy to post that states Johnson ,fat and old ,won as he pleased against Moran .Footage of Moran landing a rare punch shows Johnson standing back and mockingly appauding him. Johnson faced plenty of skilled jabbers before he was champion as I have shown. Jeannette could be included . At 37 Johnson had no problems with Willard's telescopic reach until after the 20th round ,when he ran out of gas. You cannot count O Brien as filmed evidence at all ,accounts of the fight differ wildly.Johnson himself had an excellent jab ,which no one appears to have mentioned ,or taken into account here.
He is putting his hands behind his arms to plump up his muscles. But i guess he could fall back on his giant height.... ohh wait.
