That is one of them that I saw. Well done, great finds :good, but there was another I saw that showed both eyes being butted by a couple of headbutts that damaged both eyes.

Yes the damage that Zaveck suffered from these butts cost him the fight, in a fight it looked like he was winning.


What disgusted me most was how the bias commentary didnt acknowledge any of this, praised Berto and made out Zaveck was being bust up. Completely untrue, it was a very even fight that I had Zaveck edging

 

Nobody seemed to note Bertos constant holding either.
The commentary wanted to ignore the holding and headbutts

Thats what he does. He lost a point for it against Collazo and the Urango fight was non stop holding.

People seem to have forgotten this after the Ortiz fight.

 

Whether its what he does or not doesnt make it right. Zaveck was badly let down, yet the commentary didnt want to address any of these issues and seemed to try and make out Zaveck was being beaten from pillar to post, which he wasnt. i felt Zaveck was ahead in an even balanced fight. Zaveck was landing the cleaner punches

 

I had Berto slightly ahead in a close fight but he was definitely fading, would have been a very interesting second half and could have gone either way. Zaveck definitely looked as if he was starting to outbox him.

That is disgraceful intentional use of the head, theres just no place for this **** in boxing. Berto should have had a point deducted, with the fight going to the cards as a technical draw.

 

Honestly, I thought Zaveck got some of his best work done when Berto was holding.

For a guy who likes to get inside and hold, Berto absolutely sucks when he gets there. Sort of like Andre Dirrell. Not sure where these guys pick up these habits.

 

one judge had it even the others had Berto a round ahead at the time of the stoppage.. so if it went to the scorecards they had taken it off Zaveck as well..

 

Meh, I had Zaveck up a round but all of those rounds were pretty close, could have gone either way.

Everyone thinks that when the guy you prefer loses that he must have got robbed.

 

I think Berto turned his head to avoid the left hook from Zaveck. Although his head did come in contact with Zavecks face I dont think it was intentional. Berto dont roll like that. I wouldnt mind seeing a rematch because I think Zaveck was turning the tide and would have possibly stopped Berto in a later round.:bbb:bbb:bbb

 

If it had of gone to the scorecards, I would have felt bad for Zaveck as I personally thought he was ahead, but people see different things and with the judges having it so close, im sure they were being honest.
If it had of been acknowledged that there was a headbutt which stopped the fight and Zaveck had of lost on points, then it would been a decision that Im sure many people saw differently, but the fact is the headbutts and holding were ignored and the commentary seemed to act as if Berto was busting Zaveck up with great boxing :-(.
Bertos speed is impressive no doubt, which looks flashy and can catch the eye, but Zaveck was the one who I felt was landing cleaner and

I have no revervations towards Berto, he fought good opposition lately in Ortiz and Zaveck and brought some good fights on. I don´t see the point making threads about him an calling him a chinless coward and stuff either as hes just like Zaveck a world class athlete and one of the best in his division. But you got a referee allowing Berto all kind of holding and stuff, then refuses to call headbutts and its not that he wasn´t in a perfect position to see it. you have three judes and none of them had the right man winning and a broadcaster completely ignoring all kind of facts, Ledermans scorecard flipped off etc. There was alot of home cooking going on and Zaveck got flat out robbed in Bertos backyard as simple as that..
