He was very competetive and could very well have won this fight if it went the distance, its annoying to see the mans hard work in camp and effort being stopped by cuts, dude was heartbroken, he must have really viewed this as his big chance and he seemed to have trained very hard for it, to get your belt taken away like that is messed up.
But he did make a good impression, so I would like to see him fight in the us, prefarably in a rematch with berto. I dont want him to fade away in slovenia.
    Thoughts?

I will definitely agree with you. Hopefully he heals up and Berto gives him a rematch

I think the majority will agree with you here... unfortunately for Zaveck there isn't enough money to be made for all parties and therefore it won't happen. Berto will go on to bigger and better things whilst Zaveck will most likely fade away from the public eye. Maybe if he fights on a few big undercards he could work himself back into a title shot

I have no problem with a champ getting a rematch, no complaints there. What I do have problem with is the implication that he was a "tough luck" loser and victim of circumstance. He took too many big shots from a strong puncher, hence got cut up and stopped. Why would it be anymore fair to Berto that his hard work is wasted because he his opponent too hard and too much, hence his face couldn't stand up to it, yet he doesn't get credit? What's messed up about Zaveck losing his belt "that way", he shouldn't have stood in front of, and allowed a strong, fast, fighter to pound on his face. That said I too like Zaveck and wish him the best, would have no problem with rematch or future big fights.

It was headbutts that cut Zaveck and Zaveck had landed more shots by fight end. I like many had Zaveck ahead though felt it was a close fight that was very even and could have been seen either way

I agree that a Zaveck/Berto rematch should be made but I don't think Berto will go for it just now. I think Zaveck needs to fight more here in the U.S.

Sure does. The fight last night should've gone to the cards. The damage to his left eye was definitely not the result of a punch.
