Ali on Parkinson show said it was the ameican white man that was the devil then other times he said all whites, he wasnt consistant and he while funny was racist and blurting brain washed garbage Remember Parkinson asked about Angelo and Ali said hes not a friend hes an "associate" Lets ge4t one thing straigh though Ali was a member of the NOI and blieved that the white man had tails and lived naked and shameless in the trees also aliens are coming then they found out Eleeij had about 6 tennager girls prergnant in the communs LOL
it has nothing too do being perfect, nobody is. it only has too do with at least trying too be good people and not being an ******* all the time.
I think some of you guys take it all too seriously. I don't know Floyd off camera, so I can only base my assessment by what the media allows me to see...you should too. He's a great fighter, I do know that for certain. He burned a $100 bill in club. How does that affect me? I wouldn't do the ****. But, to each his own. He earned the money, so it is his to burn, in a literal and figurative sense. He makes charitable contributions. Why hate on that? He could certainly be dedicating that time to less philanthropic pursuits. But, he chooses to spend some of his hard earned time and money to give back to the community. I see no problem here. I'm sure he was doing this long before the movie "American Gangster" was out. So, try a different movie. How about "New Jack City"? He cursed out his father...on T.V. Not cool. But, these types of things happen throughout the world, off camera, all the time. Some people can relate to how complicated family relationships can be at times. Obviously, you are not one of them. Those don't go away just because you are a famous athlete making millions of dollars, or there is a camera in your face. In fact, fame and money may worsen the problem. In this era of Reality T.V., why are we surprised at this? We are given a chance to sit on our couches and look into the lives of others...the good, bad, and the ugly. If you can't handle that, don't watch. He crumbled when approached by Margarito. I saw the video on YouTube when Margarito approached him while he was signing autographs (or something like that), and, through his translator, asked Floyd for an opportunity to fight. I don't recall seeing Floyd trembling or crumbling when he told him to "keep winning" and they could set something up down the road, then he went back to signing autographs (or doing whatever he was doing before). What did Margarito do in response to that? He went on to LOSE by KO to Mosley (AND, most importantly, he was caught loading his gloves with plaster). End of story. He disrespects his opponents. Yes...he disrespects his opponents, for the most part, before the fight. AND? It's a competition, and the fight starts long before two fighters get in the ring. AFTER the fight, he shakes hands with his opponents. I see no problem here. He's really just talking ****, to get in their heads and get them off their games, by "playing the dozens", "ranking", "joning", "clowning" or whatever word you want to use to describe insulting someone. It would be vastly different if he had sex with their wives or daughters, and went viral with the videos, as a means to accomplish the same end. Totally different from just talking about Mosley's suit, for example. He beats women. Has there been a guilty verdict given on this case, yet? But, you just know he did it, because, he burns $100 bills and disrespects his opponents. Right? It's his word versus his "baby momma's", and testimony from whomever else was there. That's for a judge to decide. I don't know if he did it or not. But, if so, he should be punished, to a suitable extent, for it. I don't condone abusing women or children. But, this is not behavior exclusive to Floyd. Some athletes murder their wives, and kill themselves (Valero). Some hit their wives with 3 punch combinations (Ray Robinson). Some abuse their wives in a coked up rage (Ray Leonard). He beats security guards. GTFOH. :rofl If true, dumb move by Floyd. But, that motha****a just hit the lotto. He'll go from eating vand de camps to caviar, for just taking a finger to the face, in the "line of duty". This cat deserves a purple heart for his valiant efforts. I'd say he was in the right place at the right time. :yep
I respect tiger just like I respect Floyd....as athletes. But the common thread between tiger, Jordan and Floyd are relevant. I don't condone what they've done as men, outside their sport. I know jay has said some messed up stuff in his music.....but there's a reason that this young, rich black man is respected and admired where Floyd is not. Floyd is over board on trying to be something he's not. Floyd gets a lot of flack based on being a Dick outside the ring...not just during a fight promotion like you think. Floyd gives plenty of things to hate on him about.
he may have felt that way in the 60's but by the late 70's, he was a changed man and the hate was gone...or did you only study him from 1960-1969?
It's his to burn...whether it is unlawful to do so or not (and it is). That is HIS problem. I'm not losing any sleep over it...nor should you. When millions of interested viewers tune in on Sept 17 (some fans...mostly haters), he will make it back 100 thousand times over, and the government will benefit from the taxes exacted, while Vegas will benefit from the surge of income from tourists, gamblers, etc. generated due to the event. Get a life.
Outside the ring **** Floyd. Inside that ****'n square how can you not like Floyd. Crazy skills>Crazy Antics
I'm a fan, but I'm also a grown man, and I don't need direction or life lessons from athletes or celebrities. That being said all the dumb shot he says and does outside the ring is irrelevant in respect to my being a fan. It's weird that other grown men give a **** on this level and to this degree.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tC6buvheGsk[/ame] No you didn't. We both have footage backing up our arguments. So we can agree at the very least, that Ali wasn't very consistent in his views. He also says this in his Irish interview up on youtube.
Nobody cares if any of you hates Floyd. You have your own pathetic reasons to hate him. He can fight, and that's all I care about. You can talk ghetto here, black there, who gives a load of ****. Stop reading into athletes personal lives. You don't even know your own damn neighbors.
