I think shitty is worse than unproven.

I will go with "proven to be no less than shitty".

A Great story, but a myth. Tomashek was called up days before, because the feeling was Mike Williams was a flight risk; Tim knew it was a distinct possibility he could be called up, and thus I doubt he was drinking pre fight.

I've never seen it neither but had I watched it and concluded austin got a gift draw then yes it changes significantly since he never has even a draw with a ranked contender.

An Olympic gold medalist? Are there really no three worse heavyweight title challengers?

Jack Dempsey defended his Heavyweight title against Jimmy Darcy. A 160lb feather fisted Middleweight with a record of.. 52 wins(KO 16) - losses 73(KO 8) - draws 42

I could be wrong here but wasn't that supposed to be an exhibition bout that was sanctioned at the last minute?

Carpentier had beaten Gunboat Smith when Smith was considered the #1 contender for Johnson's title, and had also KO'd Battling Levinsky, who had been contending at HW and beaten or drawn with a number of HW contenders.

Vaughn Bean had a far worse resume than even Dave Zyglewicz, although he looked much better during his shot. I'd go with Coopman (according to Hauser, he couldn't outspar a retired middleweight before the Ali fight) as the all time worst. Add Jack Roper, who looked like a aged B Movie Villain and fought like one, and pick on Terry Daniels as the third choice just because he was a blown up Cruiserweight with no punch.

Jean-Pierre Coopman deserves a mention, as does Lucien Rodriguez.

Got your 2 cents worth of hate in quick there.:good
Johnson floored Ross for a 9 count in the 1st round ,then made no attempt to finish him for the rest of the 6rds.
Certainly Ross was not a threat ,but he had tko'd ,and drawn with Mike Schreck, tkod George Gardner, drawn with Jim Barry .Ross was on the verge of koing Marvin Hart when he struck him after he had floored him,and was dsq'd.

    I doubt it.

Harrison was never much good in his prime, by the time he fought Haye his legs had completely gone, as had his reflexes.

Either that or he was just frightened in there.

Since losing to Sprott the first time all he'd done is win a ten rounder against a Brazilian cruiser who got about three days notice, lose to Rogan, then win Prizefighter against three novices and then got the lucky KO against Sprott in the rematch.

The same Sprott that had lost to pretty much every decent fighter he'd faced since the first fight..... and is basically a journeyman these days.
