Toney/Lebedev in talks for November 5

    After Jones now Toney is going over to Russia to fight Lebedev.

    I would like to see it anyways.

    Call me crazy but I think Toney has a shot. Heard he lost a bunch of weight too.

    "November 5th Im going to invade Russia and show this pretender what happens when he messes with a real fighter"
    Said the always quotable Toney. "Im calling it 'Lights Out Russia' because he is just the first one Im going to whip.
    After I beat up Lebedev, Im going back to Heavyweight and Im knocking Povetkin out"

    Great. I hope they make the fight.

    I'm calling you crazy...

    Lebedev might not get the KO (due to Toney's iron chin), and it might be even close on the cards (due to Toney's ring savvy) but this is going to cost James a significant number of braincells.

    Lebedev UD or late T/KO.

    This could land JT a Povetkin fight for title, if he wins impressively in Russia.

    It also opens possibilities in Cruiserweights. I think this is good move, since Tyson Fury ducked Toney and chose to fight some bum instead

    I hope Toney gets a Vitali fight, that'd be good, a slow prolonged beating finished with a brutal highlight reel Ko!

    Great news!

    This is the best fight James can made at this stage. A victory over Lebedev will guarantee him a shot against the WBO champ Huck and I am positive he will KO Huck who is basically just an amateur.

    Great matchmaking for Toney.Those two victories will enhance his legacy to the level of Hopkins and even higher than Jones IMO.

    I think Toney should concentrate on fighting cruiserweights as he will most likely catch another title there.Just think about it, beating Lebedev will guarantee heim a shot against the limited Huck.

    Apparently, Toney weighs around 210 pounds (and this is between fights) so he will have no problem making weight.

    Yeah. Toneys team offered fight with Fury in September at Belfast, but Fury chose easy way and picked up some bum instead.


    I dont think Toney would be able to KO Vitali. Vitali has pretty good chin. I think Toney would win close decission after countering Vitali all night long.

    Agree fighting Huck in cruisers would be great. But I also think Povetkins handlers could offer him a fight, if he wins in Russia.

    It could bring more money than cruiserweight title fight in Germany
