There was nothing outside of lewis's control preventing him entering the ring that night in his best shape ever. He chose the film, he chose the light training, he chose the late arrival, he chose to underestimate hasim.

It's not like he was too old, his skills had diminished or he was battleweary.

So, you had that opinion and didn't bet? At 13-1? Why not back up opinions with $$$ and make money? Even a $300 bet gets you almost 4k for that insight.

 

Gambling is not legal in my state. For the most part, boxing odds are ****, unless you are betting the underdog or picking a specific round which is a guessing game.

I think putting some cash on Victor Ortiz wouldnt be a bad idea either. Fighting once every year and half for a 34 year old guy eventually will catch up with Mayweather. These are the type of bets you have to try and make in boxing. You'll lose most of the time, but if you hit one with decent odds like the Lewis fight, you can make some nice change.

Lennox was not taking the fight seriously and while Rahman was pretty limited he had a shot because of his power. Most people didnt know what Lewis was doing so the money comes in on the favorite making some nice odds for Rahman if those were in fact the odds. I think Mayweather will be favored big too against Ortiz so putting a couple hundred on Ortiz might not be a bad idea.
