Sparring facts/rumors

There is a long standing rumor of a sparing session between Pernell Whitaker (Amatuer) and Hector Comacho. The session may be a rumor, but I have herd versions that claim Camacho beat up Whitaker and Whitaker beat up Camacho, which conserding Camacho would have been at his best (no matter what you think of Camacho he was a very talanted boxer) very impresive.
Like I said the whole thing may be just a rumor.

And no gun was pulled they respected each other It is a good watch , some rough inside boxing

 

I think It was the other way round. it was haye who was beating on Harrison(not long after he got ko'd in 4 by sprott) in miami in front of Mr Lennox Lewis.
A-Force validated the claim by claiming haye took liberties at a time when he had a lot of issues(loss etc) and was keen to impress the spectating Legend.

but take into account Hatton was a natural light welter 140 and lara is a natural 152 light middleweight(super welterweight for all u yanks!!!)

I've heard stories that hatton even when he was title level getting marked up in sparring but thats the name of the game.

In sparring it is normal to have people in the gym that have natural weight/strength advantages

Recently the film star Mickey Rourke, while on location in Argentina, met Monzon and took a crew with him to film the occasion for posterity. Rourke's reputation in the entertainment business is that of a hard man, but either he believed his own publicity, or being a tough guy in showbiz wasn't enough for him. He won some novice professional fights, and appeared to consider this a common bond with Monzon. He felt moved to swap boxing stories with the former champion - and eventually persuaded him to take part in a sparring session in the prison gym. Filmed, of course.

It was a brief, extremely nasty, and embarrassing experience for the actor. A single blow left him unconscious on his back. The film crew sold the stills.
