Andre Dirrell was schooling Chad Dawson in sparring according to floyd snr

 

Irish amateur Robert Gorman put Mayweather out of the Marquez fight when he hurt Floyd with a body shot during sparring .

Funny thing is he probably only Irelands 5th or 6th best amateur at 60kg.

Thats the only time I have ever even heard of Gorman. You would think he would be more well known from something like that.

True story- Ismael Laguna and Roberto Duran sparred in Panama one time. I think this was when Duran was champion after the Buchanan fight, and Laguna was past his prime.
Every version of the story links to Laguna outboxing and bloodying Durans nose during the session, to the point where it had to be stopped.

there have been rumors in the past that floyd mayweather and amir khan have sparred each other. we know for 100% certainty that khan went to the mayweather gym and worked with roger for a couple of days, mayweather was also at the gym when he did this. what isn't confirmed is rumors that they both sparred and chilled out together.

wonder if floyd told him, "MF get the **** out of my gym!"
