Floyd is a terrible person: treats his father like the worst bum on earth, he's a total racist, he's a woman-beater and he offends poor people as you said. The only way he could be worse is if he killed someone.
His father is an obnoxious self-aggrandizing crack-smoking glory hound who wasn't around for his child when needed. **** that whole sympathy angle. Yeah, Jr.'s a dick and was a bit overboard not keeping a tighter rein on his emotions to be the better man considering it was his own father - but Sr. is and always will be an even bigger **** and louder blowhard. (and far less talented boxer) The real unspoken victim in that tirade is Uncle Jeff. WTF was with Floyd saying he and Roger were the only Mayweathers that mattered? WTF did Jeff ever do to deserve being burned like that? He wasn't even there!
All your doing is falling into the same trap that so many others do. I remember watching that STUNT with him and 50 with the money stacks and thinking how people are gonna run to the boxing forums to go on some crazy rant of disgust. The more people talk = more money in his pocket. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
This is basic Cardinal boxing knowledge to guys like me and you, and you just totalled this thread with this golden nugget. I don't expect the youngens to know what you're talking about.
...Because some of these so called "fans", are actually more like groupies, than actual fans. How I feel about an athlete is not contingent upon what they do outside their respective sport (obviously, outside the ring behavior like murder and the like, are an exception) If that were the case, I wouldn't have been a fan of athletes like Jordan, "Magic", Tyson, Tiger, Leonard, etc. These are just a few examples of individuals who were flawed personally (some to an extreme), but, made such an impact on their sport and the world, because, of their talent and hard work, that you couldn't help but admire them, for that much at least. I don't view Floyd any differently, than those, aforementioned, athletes. I don't agree with many of his out of the ring antics. But, he's extremely serious about being at his best when he steps in that squared circle, and on top of that, he is immensely gifted, and a master of his craft. It's hard not to respect that. But, it's obvious many have found a way.
So then Floyd wanted people to hate him to make money. Then why do people complain here when people do hate on Floyd? Isn't that what Floyd wants? Shouldn't Floyd fans be thankful to the haters?
We just laugh at how dumb you guys are, you believe everything you see. It's hilarious to watch, Ali did the same thing:yep
Another poster said the exact same thing you said. Floyd has his fanatics as fans who defend him as well. This isn't really that big a deal. If you hear someone talking about someone you like, you're either going to voice your opinion, or stay quiet. I use logic. I ask questions sideways.
Then that means Floyd's haters will eventually embrace him when he becomes an old, mellowed out, politically correct Parkinson's victim. Floyd 2031: "They used to call me M..mm..mm.oney Mmmayweather...." :yep
