Was just checking Bundrage's BoxRec...how the hell is he rated #1 in the US and #3 in the world at JMW?

I know Boxrec's rankings are dodgy, but WTF???

Trout vs Lara is a real possibility for November 5th in Mexico.

So even if Mundine does actually intend to fight Trout it's looking like 2012 earliest.

Perhaps more likely, as Lead Right posted, Mundine will head back up to middle after Alvarez, thus avoiding a meeting with Trout.

Could Lara face Dzinziruk or Trout?

by Lem Satterfield - The Ring - Sep 5th, 2011

Junior middleweight contender Erislandy Lara is being considered for bouts opposite either WBO titleholder Sergei Dzinziruk or WBA "regular" beltholder Austin Trout on HBO on Nov. 5 in Mexico, his manager, Luis DeCubas Jr., told RingTV. com on Monday.

Lara (15-1-1, 10 KOs), Dzinziruk (37-1, 23 KOs) and Trout (23-0, 13 KOs) are all southpaws.

"It looks like it might be on Nov. 5 on HBO and that it might be in Mexico. But it's not a done deal with Dzinziruk, because Dzinzirik fights in September," said DeCubas Jr.

"If not Dzinziruk, then it looks like we'll be looking at Austin Trout. It looks like Lara will be opening up on HBO against one of those two guys on HBO. It's got to be somebody who is credible."

Lara is coming off of a disputed majority decision loss to another southpaw, three-time titleholder alt (40-2, 27 KOs) in July that many ringsiders believed Lara had won.

DeCubas said that Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer and Dzinziruk's promoter Gary Shaw have been working on a deal for the bout.

"Nobody's made me an offer, and I haven't heard from anybody," said Shaw.Schaefer could not be reached.

"Richard Schaefer's the one who called me on it, and he's doing his best to get him back on HBO after the last fight," said DeCubas Jr.

"So we'll see if we can't get Dzinziruk first, then we'll move on to Austin Trout or the next available."

Dzinziruk will defend his belt in a rematch with Lukas Konecny on Sept. 30 in the Czech Republic.

Konecny (47-3, 22 KOs) has won 11 straight since having losing a majority decision in 2008 to Dzinziruk, who must now face Konecny as his mandatory defense in Konecny's home country.

If Mundine had have fought and defeated the guys he ran from he would have a pretty good resume wouldn't he.

Mayweather, PacMan, Cotto, Kessler II, Geale II, Spinks, Golovkin, Trout etc, etc.

Yeah, fair to say if he fought and beat all those guys we're talking IBHOF and ATG.

The talk is a lot easier than the walk though, and it's rarely been better illustrated in a career than by this guy .

Though Hyder dropped a few silly names along the way, nobody can match the Mechanic's list. Remember too Mundine called out most of these himself and repeatedly:

Mayweather, PacMan, Cotto, Kessler II, Geale II, Spinks, Golovkin, Trout etc, etc.

They both have very special call out legacies. In Mundine's imagination he went down three weight classes and defeated the very best at each stop. Meanwhile the world was shocked when in Danny's imagination a super middle weight found that even at heavyweight no one could cope with his power.

Agree with you in principal Duke but Hyder spun most of the Green camps bull****. He's the one who came out with Wlad etc.

Mundine has personally and repeatedly dropped names like Cotto, Mayweather, PacMan etc during his World Dominance and Next I'll Conquer the USA 'seminars'.

It only makes one bad and the other worse in the final analysis though.

I must agree the Mechanic's is a little better in comparison.

Greens camp has called out the likes of:
Bernard Hopkins, David Haye, Chad Dawson, Jean Pascal, Evander Holyfield, Brock Lesnar

That resume also would be hall of fame....even in MMA HOF.:hey

Green dogged a fight with Chad Dawson to fight Siaca. Green wouldn't call out Chad.

Laught a minute. It never ends:

    153lb Mundine targets Miguel Cotto

    from LiveFight .com - 11th August 2011

    This content is protected

The former WBA Super Middleweight champion, he is campaigning to get a shot at the light middleweight title as soon as possible after fighting at 153lb in September last year without any problems.

"I want to do what I do to be the best pound for pound." said Mundine, who has been tweeting constantly about the potential match up.

"That's my goal - wipe the best out of this division (light middleweight). There are a lot of good names - Margarito, Cotto - in this division, so hopefully I can mix it with them and beat them all."
