http://www.fightsaga.com/news/item/853-Hasim-Rahman-has-miles-to-go Rahman said I'm not finished yet," declares the 38 year old fighter. "Most people don't realize that I am a year younger than Vitali Klitschko and continue to be the only heavyweight in the division with true one-punch knock-out power." "How many fighters in the division today could lay out Lennox Lewis with one punch?" When I fought Klitschko in Germany, every time I was able to get inside his jab, he was allowed to hold. I've seen fighters get disqualified for holding less than Wlad, and for some reason, he is allowed to hold as much as he wants because he's so afraid of being hit." "When you're a heavyweight who doesn't have the threshold to take shots from another heavyweight fighter, it just doesn't capture the imagination of the real fight fans." "Klitschko throws his right hand straight down the middle every time, and so it doesn't have the same effect as a sharp, crisp shot that you don't see coming," professes Rahman. "How many one-punch knock-outs does he have on his record? The world of boxing needs to see the kind of knock outs that I have on my highlight reel in order for the Heavyweight division to live again."
Rahman is a total ******. I love fighters who are awful and have been beaten by the Klitschkos later whine and complain because they "cheated". No, it's because you got KTFO'd you ****** with no brain cells.
****. Where to start. First, with regard to the Lewis KO. Well just about any heavyweight could KO another heavyweight when he is showboating and ****ing around like Lewis was. Second, the straight right that Wlad throws has KO'ed lots of people and Byrd said in an interview that he could not see it coming. Considering the defensive skills of Byrd that must mean something. If anyone want's to really see where Rahman is at ability wise these days watch the third round against Wlad (i think), he eats about 30 hard jabs in the first minute while Wlad dances around him on total cruise control. Wlad could of got him out of there from round 3 on. "When you're a heavyweight who doesn't have the threshold to take shots from another heavyweight fighter, it just doesn't capture the imagination of the real fight fans." I think he means 'casual fight fans'. Even if you still believe Wlad has a china chin shouldn't that make it all the more exiting?
Rahman is washed up. His career has only lasted this long because of the Lewis K.O. He is a one hit wonder and will never regain a belt. He is simply a named stepping stone at this point. He needs to retire because he will never beat Wlad.. Never..
If he cheated, it is because he chose his fat arse after he quit like a ***** against James Toney on National TV. If the bum has anything to complain about, it should be that he came to the ring against Wlad in a plain white T shirt. He is so inept that he cannot even secure a sponsorship for a World HW Title fight. Tell this homeboy to come see Chauncy Welliver. You want to show 1 punch KO power? Try knocking down or out a guy who has never been down in 331 HW rounds! Show the world that you can hang with a 28 year old HW. Hell, Welliver knocked out Galen Brown faster than Rock! And Brown sat on his couch for a month and gained about 15 punds not training for Rock. He weighed in over 280 pounds for that fight. Welliver is at 235! Chauncy Welliver either knocks Rahman out or he sweeps his arse 12 rounds in a row.
Rock is just stating facts...Wlad cheated. All that matters...he will have a 3rd title run just you watch
I guess maskaev cheated too. Rahman is a ****** or in other words "slick black fighter" that can talk ,but can't fight.
iF we talkin slick nigz, i'll take mayweather anyday. If we talkin street smart i take Rahman. BTW, no1 said maskaev cheated. That mofo had rock's number however you gotta admit those were some good HW wars. Lil Rock a G.
I've wondered how Wlad gets away with it without even a warning...I think John Ruiz set the standard for jab-n-grab though, I'm still baffled how he didn't get disqualified, much less warned...I was at the fight when Akinwande got DQ'd for it with Lennox Lewis, so I'm at a loss how it can be a 'style' now... But, that's the way they call it now and I don't think it would have changed the outcome of Rahman vs Wlad at that time...Rahman reminds me of Buster Douglas, both had the potential to be something special and showed it a number of times when they were focussed...But, you never knew when they were gonna be 'focussed', it seemed to be the exception rather than rule...
go eat some chk'n ..do some fk'n thing would ya ..the only holding wlad is doing is holding all the belts ...hater
The difference is mayweather can talk the talk and walk the walk , rahman can talk ,but that's about it.
