Politics and pointless titles aside, Burns v Mitchell is a very good fight if that's what happens.

Not fight 3 gimme's when you think you're tight at the weight.

It might still go ahead .I don't really give a f--k about the politics anyway man because I was hoping to go out and see Burn's .It could be debateable on this forum .Obviously Burns fans will back him and hater's won't .The first post I read on the scene with this fight was .

Okay, so why is he taking on an unbeaten hard hitter and travelling away from home to do so? Did they offer Burns a massive pay day?

    This.

As I said, call me cynical, but it's all too convenient that this seems to have become a major issue now.

I'm with you, it s the weight clearly. He's mentioned it before his last 3 defences and when wanting to get 38 year old Fana in the ring what can you do? Cant wait for Burns Limond a real barn burner :smooch

I dunno if weight is that much of an issue though. I mean he looked in superb conditioned when he pummelled Nicky Cook. That one body shot that stands out in particular was incredible and I really can't see anyone, probably up to Maravilla at 160, being able to take that kind of punishment.

I dunno why any of this is 'hating' though. A year ago we all loved Ricky Burns (and as a person and boxer I think most of us still do), he beat Martinez around this time and it was a genuinely great fight to watch and a really nice, surprising upset win. The last 12 months since have been a joke so people are right to be critical. If he spends the next 12 months fighting a really, really terrible level of opponent for his apparent class then people will continue to 'hate'

End of the day mate even if it is true, you'll still defend it. All anyone has said that IF this is true it s a joke. But as you've said it's the weight, what can you do :happy

I like ricky Burns i just want him to fight the best out there instead of fighting tomato cans, its a fair comment he needs to fight the best you dont go taking domestic dust ups when your world champion you take on mandatory or other world belts.
Who wants to see Burns vs Limmond. i dont.
