Much te same way that everyone should know who Holmes was as he was a great who was severely discounted and underrrated in his career.

so overrated. great fighter but fought in an era when cab drivers could get a title shot.( bum of the month club) weakest era of boxing. 88 mike tyson destroys this man. wouldnt even be fit for sparring. He stands infront of you with no movementat all and has a weak chin.

It's pretty funny isn't it as both of thier fights were in 73 approx 6 months apart. That is a pretty quick fall from grace according o your theory.

Ali was past his prime in the Norton bouts. No question about it. Watch him in the late 60's, or even during his fights just post-exile and compare them. It should be obvious.

Rated by most as the 2nd best heavyweight of all-time, as he should. Neither under- or overrated.

They were two different animals ( the pre and post exile Ali). The pre-exile Ali was lightning fast but also lighter an less punch ressitant. he post exile Ali blossomed into a 210-215 lb heavywieght with a much better chin who could take tremendous punishment.

Vastly overrated. Would have lost to Valuev , Tua , Vitali , Foreman , Tyson , Bowe probably Holyfield , Ibeabuchi , Lewis , McCall and Wladimir too.
Who did Louis ever beat ? Max Schmelling ? Schmelling was already stopped in 1,2,4 & 10 rounds prior to KOing Louis , years after , Louis stopped him in their rematch . Louis also stopped Buddy Baer , Max Baer , Abe Simon and Arnold Cream ("Jersey Joe Walcott ") , the rest are not even worth mentioning as heavyweights . It's also worth mentioning that Louis deserved to lose the first Cream fight but the judges gave it to him and in the first Buddy Baer fight in which he was KDd himself , he rescued himself by hitting Buddy Baer after the bell , otherwise , who really knows what would have happened , another loss of the "Brown Bomber" most probably. Louis should in no way rank higher than Lewis , Tua , McCall , Tyson , Holyfield , Valuev and Vitali . So how is he a top 2 HW exactly ? every idiot that can only imitate the classic forum farts will tell you he is top 2 , but the truth is that he is far from it.
