Floyd's padwork is unique among fighters, what advantages does it give him in the ring over his opponents?
It seems as if it works to keep Floyds reflex's sharp since its Roger hitting Floyd's gloves more than Floyd hitting Roger's pads. Its almost like reverse padwork.
it gives him "41-0". I remember Ricky Hatton talked **** about his pad work and we see how that turned out lol but seriously i think it helps him with his reflexes
I'll answer this mos in depth after his media workout is done, but I'll post this and you'll get an idea [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lq5hgw0GfsI[/ame]
Works in the muscle memory for combinations and counters, increases sharpness, helps muscle endurance, develops coordination, allows for improved hand speed, etc.
I use the same drill.. It helps big time with improving coordination (devoloping too) and it increases your sharpnes very much so! Nice post:good
I believe that it does work his endurance, reflexes, and defense just like all pad work. What is unique about it is the rhythm that is kept. Along with lengthy combinations
To think allot of old timers frowned on the pads ..I think it does help with timiming accuracy and sharpness as other people stated ..
