Floyd's resume after Corrales is a carefully crafted farce. At least he's finally taking on a real welterweight in his prime. Ortiz is the best opponent he's faced in terms of relavancy since he fought Corrales IMO. That being said, its still an easier fight for Floyd than Pacquiao and I don't think Floyd had many other options to make decent money unless he fought Martinez or Pacquiao.... and we all know he won't fight either of them. He could've fought Khan and probaly made more money than Ortiz with all the British fans Khan would bring to the table, but he probably feels that Khan has a better chance of beating him than does Ortiz.

he could of fought cotto in 2008 instead of retiring. he could of fought pacquiao late last year instead of taking a vacation.

His welterweight resume is not fitting for a man of his talent

Ricky Hatton was an A- opponent at welterweight despite only having 1 fight there, and looking like **** against Luis Collazo?

Juan Manuel Marquez was a B opponent over 140lbs despite having never fought there before, and never even fighting at 140lbs either?

    :huh

Truth is , Cotto and MArgarito were never real options anyway. When Baldomir was knocking Zab around, Tony was losing fights to guys like Santos and struggling with guys like Diaz. Cotto was fighting at 140. We all know we don;t want Floyd picking on those poor little guys.

On top of that, no fighter in their right mind would turn down a fight with Oscar to fight Margarito or Cotto.

Mosley turned down a Floyd fight just as Floyd turned down Mosley.

Williams, **** PAul Williams. What had he done? Beat Sharmbe Mitchell and then got boxed to death against Quintana after his close win over MArgarito?

You guys would all be laughing at all of those fights for the reasons mentioned above, talking about how Floyd ducked Oscar to fight little Miguel Cotto or Margarito for alwready being exposed by Santos.

almost everyone hes fought at the weight was a titlist or champion except Shane Mosley who was coming off the best performance of his career and Mitchell, his first fight at the weight.

Mosley had the WBA belt. He got stripped when he lost to Floyd.

He retired like a idiot. If he didn't retire he would have won it.

Yea Floyd was telling Mosley in the press conference that he could keep his belt and he wasn't paying any sanction fees.
