Floyd has been cherry picking since his move up from 135, Hatton been the best fighter he has faced since then and that's says alot, Hatton was a 2D fighter who Floyd knew was not close to his level.

Ortiz is a also a decent fight, the guy is a live young fighter who is hungry.

I can't wait for Khan to move upto 147 next year, it's his time now, Khan's coming to take that 0 off Floyd, he better not go on vacation.

Margarito had beaten MORE Ring ranked WW's then both guys COMBINED. And to make it more, you can add Floyd to that.

Deservedly so? :-( Try politics and promoter favors...

Hatton was ranked either 6 or 8 on Rings P4P list and had never lost a fight.

He's held the belts, and beat better people Ortiz had. Better then ortiz as well. Do you EVER make sensible posts, or just jack up Floyd all day long?

He was also at his best weight at 140. Can't deny that.

I rate the Hatton win, that was a solid win, but Hatton in terms of boxing skill was levels below Floyd, but I say Hatton was one of Floyds best wins.

Floyd has flaws, speed will expose them.

And? In that time he also lost to Daniel Santos. HAd Floyd fought Tony you'd be here saying he ducked Baldomir right now.

You misunderstood, 2006 is when the challenge was issued. Their was plenty of time pre Mosley, what about Cotto?

From 2006-2009 it's the fight people wanted, period.
It's funny how you bang on about Margarito yet give a guy like Baldomir a pass.

If Floyd had fought and beaten Margarito, everyone would have said what they say now about Baldomir, Margarito was a one dimensional, plodding, face first bruiser that was tailor made for Floyd.

You can pick apart anyone's resume

Although, taking a mandatory for Gatti's paper 140 belt was disgusting.

It wasn't as good or as promising as his 98-05 campaign.

I wish he did take on all comers like he says in the blurb in his fight promo's at the moment.

So something is wrong when Floyd is better than his opponent?

So when then? It wasn;t much after that that Tony lost to Williams at which point Floyd was fighting Oscar De La Hoya. (and before you say what about williams, williams lost to Quintana right after beating Tony.)

I see nothing wrong with saying at this point it may have been more interesting if Floyd had fought Tony instead of Oscar but there was nothing wrong with the Oscar fight or the Hatton fight, which are the fights Floyd was involved in in the period you're talking about. Oscar was a higher weight class and he was coming off a great performance against Mayorga. Hatton had demolished Castillo who hadn't at that point shown that he was shot. Better than anything that the names being thrown around this thread had done in previous fights.

edit and cotto- Cotto didn;t fight at 147 until Dec of 2006. Wouldn't we just be whining about how Floyd ducked him at 140 and Cotto hadn't adjusted to the weight?
