Mayweather: "No athlete trains harder than me"
Fans: "You hear that, peoples? Fact, Mayweather is hardest trainer in the world. Honestly, who comes close? Noone!"

    Mayweather: "Pacquiao, you're next"
Fans: "See, there's a reason why he's fighting Ortiz - a southpaw - in September. It's because he's gunning for Pac. No doubt about it. He wants him bad!"

Mayweather: "I never said I would fight Pacquiao next"
Fans: "He's right. There's no reason to take on Pac next. Pac saying he'll take the tests, doesn't mean he'll take the tests :)huh). **** you haterz"

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not even kinda what he said, and sweet job putting quotes around something you made up, that's cute...

    Question that was asked:
You've said this fight might be a precursor for Pacquiao, you've been mentioning
    him a lot.

    Response:
"I never said that at all. So please, don't put words in my mouth," Mayweather said. "Nothing is a precursor."

Clearly he's saying that he never said that Ortiz was a warm up/precursor, and he doesn't want to be quoted as such, the response had little to do with the Manny part and was clearly directed at the Ortiz as a precursor aspect of the question. That being said, when you can just throw **** in quotes with no regard for being anywhere close to accurate, I'm sure presenting facts or legit information is secondary...so carry on breh.

Reppin you are a ****ing idiot. What's the difference really in "Pac you're next" and the word precursor? According to Webster, precursor means a thing that precedes or come before and when he said PAC you're next it means Ortiz is THE precursor. Clear as day. Floyd as usual just contradicts himself and all you *****s tried so hard to defend the undefendable.

If Martinez can come down to 150, I am inclined to believe that Pacquiao will fight him. But I doubt this fight will ever happen.

Thread to be bumped along with a 1,000+ others when Mayweather and Pacquiao sign to fight. People who think this fight is not going to go down are kidding themselves.

Why does it seem like the hardcore Pacquiao fans do NOT want this fight to happen?

Lol...no no idea, I'll look it up and get back with you. While I'm doing that, spend some time rereading the quotes, my post, and reflect on what the meaning was because you missed it. You aren't "literally a tree, bro" are you? LOL, the point is that he was saying Ortiz isn't "just" a warm up or precursor to Manny, Im pretty sure he wants to sell this fight hence dismissing Ortiz like that would be a negative in that respect.

Thread title completely misleading. That is not what he said. Context people. You can't take one phrase out of an entire conversation.

Your thread implies he denied his comments at the press conference. That is not what was said.
