Can anyone disconnect themselves from the actual fighters and look at the powers that be?
1. Could be just another statement to get people more hopeless that the fight won't happen.
2. Create more buzz
3. There could be issues that need to resolve legally before the two enter the ring.
4. WHO THE F KNOWS.

I don't think either fighter is "scared" of the other. There is so much pressure for this fight to happen for each other that Floyd's O doesn't matter as much as him just accepting the fight and while that is only my opinion; it's pretty logical. I am sure Floyd feels this too.

 

Man, that statement is as clear as day that floyd is denying he said he wanted to fight Pac next.

But that's basically the same. PAC you're next so that means Ortiz is the precursor. Him saying Ortiz Ain't the precursor means denying that previous statement. Simple.

 

Actually it is clear as day saying that he is saying Ortiz is not a precursor to anything. That does not mean he won't fight Pacquiao. I mean this is not unusual from Mayweather: The guy usually focuses on his opponent once a fight is signed/made. Even with Mosley: "I am not here to talk about Manny Pacquiao, I have a fight with Shane Mosley." Yes, Floyd contradicts himself, but so does everybody else in boxing, including Manny.

I am just curious: How many of you are going to look like huge idiots when they sign to fight? Fight is going to happen whether you want to believe it or not, so you might as well avoid putting your foots in your mouths. It amazes me how many times this happens, yet people continue to talk nonsense.

Mark my words, I am going to be having a major bumping party when Pacquiao and Mayweather sign to fight. You guys hanging on every word and catch-phrase are hilarious. Seriously just take a chill pill and enjoy the show. Because that's all it really is.

Uhhh, no it's not "simple" and that's not what it means, it means that Ortiz is a legit fight and he would prefer to sell it (seeing as how his livlihood depends on it), as to give the public the impression that Ortiz is some sort of warm up, and not worthy of purchase.

Exactly! They take pleasure in Pac going through with his lawsuit. PBF legal troubles anything that will keep PBF out of the ring and from giving their God a boxing lesson of a lifetime. They know PBF is a stylistic nightmare for Pac and has the skills to give him a lesson so they don't really want the fight to happen.

 

Floyd backpedaling on his previous statement isn't new. All boxing fans knew from the start that Floyd is only using Pac's name to sell his fight with Ortiz. When he said "Pac you're next" he knew he f*cked himself up. Now that Pac said testing is no longer an issue, Floyd quickly changed his tune. LOL. Can somebody please give that guy a set of balls lol.
