Wonder if he'll get more than that for Mitchell? :think

Mitchell is a harder fight for Burns that Broner IMO....but not as significant :deal

I hope sky don't let Frank get away with this. They should get Ed Robinson to interview him with that straight talking he did with the chair of bbboc after the Crook fight. Would be good hearing him try to justify this bollocks.

If Burns beat Evensen and said "You know what, I need to move up. This weight is killing me." I'd say kudos. But to fight 3 ****ing gimmes and then move up just as a proper opponent comes along leaves a bad taste in the mouth of any boxing fan.

Look at Froch absolutely killing himself to make smw and battling every comer that presents themselves. Then we look at Burns. Need I say more?

I can't see him getting anywhere near that amount to be fair, HBO wont touch this. I would say he would be lucky to get 80k for a fight with Mitchell especially if it is on normal sky.

    Froch makes 168 easily.

    Does he?
He trains like an absolute mad man to get to that weight. Look at the way the guy monitor's his training and eating habits. Not the actions of a fighter that 'easily makes the weight'. Only his professionalism gets him through imho.

My post was more to do with Froch doing all he can to stay at the weight and fight anyone and everyone. Burns is the Yang to Frochs Yin in that respect.

    Cowardice pure and simple.

I wouldn't say its cowardice from Burns! More Frank being concerned about money not the fans and cowardice from Billy

Has Burns not got a voice?

Khan left frank to do what he wanted to do and fight proper opponents instead of the Posing ***ans of this world. He wanted his own trainer and was willing to upset his whole life to upsticks from his family to go after what he wanted. Burns isn't exactly doing that is he? If he does what Frank says and doesn't put up a fight its cowardice. Burns himself said he.wanted to unify and be ring champ. He then moves up and contradicts that all because his management say so?

    Question for Billy,

In an ideal world would you rather Ricky stayed at super-feather, beat Broner, Fana and then moved up? Do you think you he could beat Broner honestly? Because a lot of people on here thin he could so why doesn't VVarren? How does Ricky feel? I think you're taking a bit of flak but you have to toe the party line so your hands are a bit tied, but really is it going to be worth the backlash of moving up now? Is there any way you can change Fwanks mind?

Compared to other fighters, yes. He entered training camp for Ward at 175lbs, and over a week before the Johnson fight he was under the 168 limit. I'm not doubting his professionalism, it's there for all of us to see. I just thought it was a strange example given that Froch isn't exactly the type of fighter who's battling his weight in the weeks before a fight.

It's an entirely dumb move. He could just as easily lose to Mitchell as Broner, he'll have to give up his belt anyway, he won't be fighting for a proper title, and he's lost any small amount of goodwill he had left from when he beat Martinez.

If the weight was an issue, they should have looked for the Fana or Broner fight earlier. The whole thing started because Frank wanted the Appleby fight, lost it and then cast Burns into limbo.

The whole thing seems a way to get Kevin Mitchell a bogus belt.

Froch ussually looks like he has aids before the fight, a bit like Aston Villa after losing there best players...... :hey
I think alot of the super middleweights boil right down to weigh in at that weight and to be the size they are come fight night is not bad going i bet Froch fights nearly at 13 stone fight night. :good

    Woverhampton wanderers F.C :happy

I'm reserving judgement until things fully unfold. Who knows, he might actually make some noise when he moves up, part of me thinks it's wishful thinking.
