The comparison was due to Froch being a fighter Billy loves. Froch is known to have to train ridiculously hard to make weight. He was very drawn against Kessler imho and this is proven by the fact wants the rematch at LHW mate.
He must be keeping really busy with the running, i have met him before and he's a big guy he's walked in at 12.5 stone at the start of his camp he's obviously been putting in the work all ready...... :nono The Dingles are once again getting established but you guys lost a couple of gems, mate you will miss them. you would of probably done us the other day but Bent is a lonely man up there...
Froch is a poor example of a fighter struggling to make weight IMO. Back to Burns, I can't remember ever hearing any mention on commentary of them hearing that he was struggling to make weight and his performance against Martinez didn't suggest that he was killing himself. Funny pictures aside I am genuinely disappointed that this fight isn't going to happen, been looking forward to seeing Burns in a proper fight since Martinez to see if it was a fluke or not. I will be another fan lost.
Aye, he obviously looks after himself. Made more impressive by how long he goes between fights as well. Better to have lost than never had at all. We lacked a lot of creativity against your lot. We've got a world class striker up top but Heskey playing as an attacking mid to support him... :huh
Now if Billy had come on hear at the start and said I dont think Ricky will be a swf much longer then this would have made sense but never did that happen he kept telling everyone he would beat Broner no problem yet it seems they are running scared as they cant duck this one they must take it as he the mandatory so lets move up and start again its a joke and also a shame for Ricky Burns that his management and his trainer does not believe in him any more
Yeah definately, what you thinking about Alex Mcleish, you didnt give up your season ticket, shocking to see them empty seats on a big derby game.
I still think it's a baffling decision. He's trying to be more positive but the two 0-0's already, and the 2-0 against Hereford speak for themselves. I gave up my season ticket, but only because I'm going to Uni this year. I would have kept it otherwise, regardless of the manager. I was at the Wolves game though and the atmosphere was shite. I think they priced it badly as well as the fans' disappointment at the appointment. I think your lot only brought about 1200 fans and I don't blame you when they were charging over £40 for a ticket.
I don't think Froch has ''boot camps'', he's always within touching distance of the weight limit, obviously training for ten weeks to improve and being meticulous is better than entering camp at 14st and having to tailor the training to get the weight off properly. You can see in his last few fights the improvements he's made, no longer trying to land that uppercut from ten feet away or bang the opponent out with every punch (listen here Bomber :yep) I'd imagine when he's not prepping he's at least in the gym most days on the bags ticking over, roadwork etc.... and shagging that piece of his. Burns moving up to 135 wouldn't ring any alarm bells if they hadn't been on a milk run for a year and see a potentially dangerous mando around the corner.
Im a southern supporter mate so i only go up to the odd games use to travel round the country when turner was in charge with the likes of Bully, Mutch, dennison etc the good old days remember playing Aldershot.. Wolves have really come on looked really good, spraying the balll round well in the first two games, and tightened up as a unit im glad they stuck with wonky nose he;s a good manager.... :good
I think McCarthy is great personally, sure he sounds a bit boring but he certainly knows what he's doing and doesn't take no **** off players. He's helped by having a really good chairman who knows how to run the club properly, not demanding instant success in the PL and is prepared to let them bed in whilst giving the manager a reasonable budget to use.
