IMO an Adamek win over Vitali would be an ATG win especially in the HW division such is the power and size difference I just hope he gets his props (in the alternate universe where he has a chance on winning) if he does beat Vitali and hopefully people don't start with the 'Vitali was 40 and shot' argument.

This is common sense. Adamek has no chance, at all. Adamek winning would be the biggest upset in sports history, maybe as high as the 1980 miracle on ice

    Probably would be.

Beating a soviet supersoldier experiment is always an accomplishment if it happens!

I really don't think so. Vitali getting old and finding a stylistic foil in someone smaller, quicker, and more more mobile than him would be understandable. Marquez beating Pacquiao in good condition with his technique would be one of the best wins in boxing, considering his disadvantages. Floyd losing to someone so unpolished would also be incredibly huge. I'd say they're on par with each other.

Is it also the case according to the bookies?

I could see how it could be.

  8. Adamek has absolutely no chance. He is going to get brutally dismantled in front of his home fans.

I think it would bew a massive upset. And if Adamek does win, I'm sure Klit fans will give Tomasz credit, since VK does seem to be in fantastic shape.

When you take care of yourself, 40 isn't that old.

I asked awhile back if it would be bigger than Douglas beating Tyson & everyone said that fight (Tyson losing to Buster) was a bigger upset.

Ortiz over Mayweather is the bigest upset of the three. :nono

Adamek is smaller, but Vitali is pretty old and no longer packs much of a punch (and there is that CHEEN). Smart money says Vitali UD, but...location, location, location. :deal

Marquez is a bit shopworn and well above his peak weight, but he's always had Pacquiao's # (or at least, they've always had each other's # in about equal measure and Pacquiao is just as long in the tooth as he is despite withstanding the rigors of age and weight-climbing so far...and seemingly growing ever more distracted every camp) and he's looked very sharp and strong in his run of wins since selling out. :deal

Ortiz is Mayweather's complete inferior, but - oh yeah. That's right. There's no but. :deal

Assuming JMM arguably beat PAc twice it would be not a big of surprise he
will finally score the nod ... which is much smaller than Adamek beating Vitaly.
As Ortiz ... it would be somehow debatable depending on which Floyd and which Vitaly we will see during the fight.
