I'm going to say Hopkins. He beat Trinidad when noone gave him a chance and has been fighting top guys since while being old as hell.

Only you and a few *****s think mayweather has a better resume than pacquiao.
You can say it as many times as you wants but these polls will always have the same outcome, because any sane person knows that its like this, decade 2000-2009:
    1.pacquiao
    2.Mayweather
    3.Hopkins
    :deal deal with it

OP "Nigel Benn" you are a real Nub. You say "who is the best" but don't give any criteria and then cry when people disagree?

If people "Fail" if they pick RJJ I will then say he was "the best."

Why? Because Up to 2003, he WAS the BEST FIGHTER in the sport. He OVERSHADOWED anyone. He was the best fighter until he lost it.

Now if you want to say who was the best fighter from 2000 to 2010 given the following:
    1. Consistency
    2. Resume
    3. Fan friendly fighting
    4. Skills and abilities

You may have made a good thread. But you didn't so you fail. Nub out.

    agree with this.
thats why i listed my ''best'' in the different criteria.
    op should have been clearer.

it doesnt matter though tbh. if all things are considered its quite clearly pacquiao (sorry floyd fans)

this is as close as it gets . . . I pick PBF because he is the most skilled but resume has to go with Pac even though he fought a lot of guys who where just past it or never had it he was the smaller man . . . lol even though PBF was always the smaller man as well he was even smaller.

If fighting a bunch of wash uped and never have beens (De La Hoya at 147, Hatton after being ko'd, Cotto (the best of this group and that's not saying much), Clottey, Margarito and Mosley Those are the guys he domanated There is the two wins over a wash up Morallas. He barely got by Marquez on two occasians. His best wins are his wins over Barrea only one of those times was Barrea at his peak. Acomplishments you say. Pacquiao has built his reputation on a lie make that two lies. That he won championships at 147 and 154.
Pacquiao's resume is nothing but smoke and miorrs.
Mayweather on the other hand some how managened to fight and beat the Linnial champion at 147 Baldimior, The best at 140 Hatton, The Best at 154 De La Hoya. He fought and beat Casitillio twice. He also beat Corallas when he was at the top of his game and Gatti during one of his hot streaks. Yhe rest of Mayweather's resume is filled with very solid boxers. This can't be said about Pacquiao
Mayweather Might not fight as much, but his quallity surpasses Pacquiao's quanity.
