Lennox lets say round 6 or 8, Wlad safety first style would be advantage for Lewis.

lewis would have big respect for wlad and would be afraid to open up, look at the tua fight. he fight a taller faster and stronger guy. wlad punches harder, has better footwork, a better jab, better left hook and better straight right hand and is faster. i see this being a unbelievble boring fight where wlad should take a decision, if he gets not clipped big time during it. but wlad is defensivly so good at the moment, that i can't see lewis clipping him with an surprising shot

Lewis is the worst possible style match up for Wlad that I can imagine.

Prime Wlad likes to keep boxers at a distance with his jab and movement and tie up his opponent when they get too close.

But Lewis is just as big as Wlad, he would be up against a boxer with all the attributes he possess so would not dominate in his usual manner like he usually does against smaller opposition.

Lewis would look to take the fight to Wlad and overwhelm him. Wlad will of course try to tie Lewis up but unlike every other Wlad opponent Lewis is stronger and would be able to work inside unlike the rest of Wlad smaller and weaker opposition who just get smothered. Vitali is a fighter who also very successfully ties up his opposition when they get too close but he wasn't able to do that with Lewis as Lewis was just as strong and better inside and so was able to land his big uppercuts. Wlad would be in a similar situation when Lewis is close, he gets out fought and over powered on the inside and there is no way he can take the uppercuts Vitali did.

Wlad's only chance is to catch Lewis early with a counter as he is coming in, as he has the power to hurt and stop Lewis. But this prime Wlad is simply too timid against punchers. He barely threw a right hand against Haye, this cautious timid style may work against those he has faced before but against Lewis it would result in Lewis just walking through him.

Maybe if Wlad runs and hugs for his life he can make it beyond the 3rd round but I suspect it would be a similar fight to Golota and Grant. A timid Wlad jabs and back peddles into the ropes where Lewis mauls him and quickly KO's him.

I am a Wlad fan, but also have to agree that Lewis is the worst style match-up imaginable. That being said, I see this going longer than 3 rounds. Wlad's foot speed and defense is too good to get caught that early. As good as Lewis was, he wasn't a speed demon, especially in regard to his rather plodding footwork. I also don't think that bullrushing Wlad right away would be the best strategy for Lewis as his chin is not the sturdiest either. I actually don't see much happening during the first few rounds. As the Thompson fight showed, Wlad needs time to adjust to fighting a man with a bigger reach. In that fight his jab actually was not that much of a factor and he often lead with his straight right hand.
I guess at some point in the middle rounds the fight would open up more, with the better inside game of Lewis seeing him through on a round 8-10 TKO.

That being said, a Wlad KO would not shock me either. I think a prime Wlad would be Lewis hardest fight/best win as Tyson and Hollyfield were already past their best, when Lewis fought them.

very good quote, but you forget that lewis had fast hands, but wlad's speed is a level above lewis, so wlad would have good chances to throw more punches because he would feel more save not to get countered. you can say what you want about haye, but he had great speed and good power, wlad was afraid to get countered. wlad's self confidence is at the top right now so he would fight probably a little bit different against lewis. they are two great fighters who imo would smoke almost every other great from the past. i think lewis would win 6 out of 10

are your for real...wlad is at least equal in every department uve mention if not equal he owns most of them wtf are you smoking..speed youve said hell ****ing know..have you ever watched a lennox lewis fight lmao.the only thing lewis done better than wlad was fight on the inside and thats only because he had to do it because he couldnt keep guys on the outside like wlad can..which is also why lewis threw a more variety of punches..geezus **** is there any open minded people on this site who can look at boxing as 2 men fighting and not go with the fact they hate one guy and love another so he wins its ****ing childish,..im a huge lewis fan but even i know prime for prime this is a 50/50 fight that WILL go to the cards...

Much of this is untrue, but for arguments sake even if we agree that you're correct it's irrelevent. Wlad would throw no more than 10 right hands per fight against Lewis, he would be that terrified of getting KO'd. Even in the advantages that he does have he often gives up to fight a safety first, timid sort of fight that will never get the job done against Lennox.

I really like Wlad, I see him taking out a lot of ATG HW's, but a prime Lewis is a fighter I'd be quite comfortable betting my house on beating Wlad.

:good Wlad didnt use right hand 30 times against D Haye just imagine how safety conscious Wlad would be against Lewis, he dominates every heavyweight with his power and lenght but against Lewis he would not have that advantage!!!

Not hard to have a good defense when you throw literally no punches(not including jab in this)
