All B/C-level fighters, are you really gonna act like Taylor didn't dominate him.

Boxreccing at its best. I suppose you think Ray Robinson stunk because he lost to Joey Archer.

Oscar De La Hoya was a P4P level fighter coming into his prime when he fought Chavez.

Yea the guy was horrible. Worst boxer ever.

Ha idiot. **** if Chavez was a white American we would never hear the end of it. There would be a currency with his face on it.

Chavez was 90-0 and past his prime when he was ROBBED against a steroid-cheating Frankie Randall.
Randall was on Steroids when he fought Chavez.

    Chaves had a good resume?

    Taylor ko 12 ko 8
    Rosario ko 11
    Camacho w 12
    Whittaker D 12 disputed
    Randall 2 out of 3
    Ramirez td 11
    Mayweather ko 2 ko 10
    T. Lopez ko 10
    Gonzalez D 12
    Lockridege w 12
    Laporte w 12
    Castillo ko 6
    Martinez ko 8
    L. Smith w 12
    Gamache ko 8
    Ali ko 6
    Parisi w 12
    Fuentes ko 10
as well as undefeated challengers Aguilar,Hollingan,Kamau,Hernandez

Chavez was past his prime and had almost 100 pro fights when he fought DelaHoya.

Taylor didn't dominate Chavez. It was a damn tough fight to score and Taylor went to the hospital immediately afterwards.

I think JCC is over-rated, but I'm not going to re-write history.

You could say that after the Taylor fight it was years before he faced another guy with good speed; and he lost that one too. Now that would be an accurate statement.

His son is proudly following in his footsteps as he is also beating up taxi drivers, pizza delivery men and laborers in order to pad his record to 90-0. Just embarrassing how many no-names chavez fought and how protected he was. How was chavez Tsyzu's #1 mandatory? WBC protected him on his way up and on his way down apparently. Now the son is being afforded the same perks, lol. They tried to put him in with Hearns who was coming off a Ko loss to Sturm, yet somehow was getting a title shot, lol. Only in mexico.

He got in the chest of the biggest puncher in the division and wore his ass down while still using good defense. I guess only true boxing fans can appreciate this

That's exactly why I root against Jr. every time he steps into the ring.

Chavez went 90-0 before being robbed against a steroid cheater-Randall.

Chavez made more world title defenses (about 30) than any other fighter in history.

Chavez has fought in more world title fights (about 36) than any fighter in history.

    Chavez NEVER ducked anyone.
Even after he was past his prime, he fought young tough lions like Tzsyu, DelaHoya, unlike todays' fighters that duck others, Chavez took ion all comers.

Name me any other fighter that comes close to what Chavez has accomplised???:think

I was around back then. A running joke among commentators went along the lines of "He fights a lot of Tijuana taxi drivers, but a lot of those taxi drivers are pretty tough."

Chavez might not have blatantly ducked guys, but his promotional team did a good job picking his opponents. He didn't fight too many fast guys (and lost to the few he did).
