Lol, he got beat to s againt Randell, who he low-blowed continuously throughout the fight, than he got a gift decision in their rematch after he headbutted Randell intentionally and the fight went to the cards early. Any speed fighter he fought, he lost to. He got lucky against Taylor, than got beat to $hit and embarrassed by DLh. Made him quit, lol. The man was a TERRIBLE sport too. Blamed Richard Steele in his first fight against Randell where the commentators were saying that STeele was giving Chavez too much leeway, which he was. Got dropped HARD against Randell, didn't acknowledge that either. Against Tsyzu, after Tszyu beat him like a rented mule, he said Tszyu is strong but not a good fighter. Chavez's fan's were as classless as him in that fight, throwing stuff into the ring, even though their man lost legitimately, wouldn't be surprised if some of those guys are on this forum. Chavez, to me, is a myth, a joke. A big crybaby who packed it in when the going got tough and fought handpicked opponents who were ripe for the taking. When he fought fast, skilled-boxers he was exposed. DLH, Randell, Willy Wise, even Miguel Angel Gonzalez got a draw off him. Chavez=Miguel Gonzalez with more power. That's it.
Chavez, despite if you're a fan or not, is probably the greatest or one of the greatest inside fighters to ever live. If you think he sucks cuz he doesn't fight like Leonard then you're just a dumb ass. Say what you want, the guy's inside game is beautiful to watch.
You need to carry a box of kleenex tissues wherever you go:neutral: I'm not Colombian jackass, lol. Good guess:good
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jSBOAjpCmQ[/ame] My favorite Chavez fight. How did he get to fight Tsyzu after this? Lol, listen to Bobby Czyz at the end. "CHavez exiting the ring without giving an interview, fitting for the lack of class he's shown over the years." Man is a baby, can't lose gracefully. Too bad Tszyu didn't decapitate this bum.
I don't agree. One of the first fights I watched as a commited fan of the sport of boxing was Chavez/Taylor I. The result of the fight was a judgment call by referee Richard Steele. I don't think the right decision was made but Steele had a split second to decide. I think the fight was the beganing of the end for both Taylor and Chavez. Being that my first Chavez experances was the first Taylor fight through the end of his career. I never understood what the big deal was. The big deal is that he probbly top 3 at 130 and one of the best talants at 135. Chavez did not stink. I just cought him at the end of his career
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYuY5d8GxFA&feature=related[/ame] He quit in this fight as well. Listen to what the Dr. says at the end. This guy's a bigger fraud than Santa Claus.
Chavez beat the whos who of the lightweight division back then. Utterly dominated Camacho, had him running for his life. And thats from a big Camacho fan.
