That's all he's ever done. He was focused on the TdF cuz he couldn't handle riding the Vuelta or the Giro. **** the TdF isn't even that hard of a mountain tour, lol.

I'm surprised you didn't regurgitate facts about how his legs converted the lactic acid faster than everyone elses.

People still not understanding the difference between accomplishments and raw athleticism. Guys like Lance Armstrong and Federer accomplished a lot more than RJ but they were not blessed with great athleticism. Great athletes are guys like LeBron James, Deion Sanders, Dwight Howard, Bo Jackson, Michael Jordan, Usain Bolt, etc. Guys who are blessed with the type of quickness, explosion, quick twitch muscles, etc that are truly rare, even amongst other pro athletes.

This thread is about raw athleticism. Roy Jones is definitely in the same class with the guys mentioned above in terms of sheer athleticism.

I'm sorry but no one that pedals a dam bike is a better athlete than a boxer let alone Roy Jones jr .No one is taking anything away from Armstrongs' accomplishments but he is far from an athlete when he's riding a bike compared to a boxer ..And half dead RJJ decapitates little Lance ..You need to stop now ..

Thank you, I was waiting for someone who understands. There are different type of athletes, generally when you're having a discussion about who was the most athletic it's not about endurance sports or what they've achieved, it's the most freakishly gifted in terms of speed, power and coordination.

Theres more than one type of athlete, Im not talking accomplishments here, Im talking pure athletic ability. What is RJJ perceived to have that puts him above these other athletes? He couldnt excel in their chosen sports as they couldnt excel in his. Roy Jones is not the man with the greatest raw athleticisim ever born. You cant paint athleticisim with as broad a brush as you seem to be doing.:bbb:bbb:bbb

  9. michael jordan!!!!!! thats the greatist athlete of all time, roy jones is little league compared to jordan

You realize that Armstrong isn't the best rider in the sport of cycling right? The fact that you mention his 7 TdF wins shows that you don't know of Eddy Merckx. Hell, even Contador has done **** that Armstrong never could, like win all of the grand tours, and he did it by the age of 25 joining the ATG group in cycling which Armstrong isn't a part of. This group consists of guys that have won all three tours, the Vuelta, Giro, and TdF.

Also, Contador would probably have won all three grand tours in one year, 08 had his team not been banned from the TdF in 08. Yea, the team Lance built. lol.

Roy Jones aint the best either.:lol: All Im saying is that Lance has just as much athletic ability as Roy. He cant do what Roy does in the ring and Roy cant do what he does on the bike. Bottom line.:bbb:bbb
