Would make me smile if McCloskey did go all terminator on Prescott. I think McCloskey wins a close decision not an easy fight at all hard to call.

If McCloskey can make Khan miss and frustrate him with his fast hands then I think he shouldnt have a problem avoiding Prescott's looping hooks. The only problem I have is does McCloskey when he is doing his ducking and diving have enough punch output to conclusively put the round in the bank, im not sure.

What Prescott will bring is a decent workrate he might miss with a lot but make some sort of contact with a fair few. I think McCloskey wins on points but its close because of the reasons mentioned above

The best example was Audley when he was getting ready to fight Haye. From a scared, tentative, gun-shy wreck, he became Larry Holmes in a southpaw stance! His footwork was fluid, his punching incredible, his aggression like a prime-Tyson.

Well I said Ortiz had a chance early doors ;-) But yeah, certainly didn't envision him coming through rough patches and doing well down the stretch.

 Yep, ludicrous analysis from some going into that fight.

He'd have to step up his personal security, because McCloskey's stalking will only intensify. It'll go from "Khan couldn't hit me", to "Khan couldn't beat the man I beat", etc.

Who said he's going to walk prescott down? have you seen any mccloskey fights other than the khan fight? remember when he was offered the fight with lynes, who was just coming off a Euro title robbery from Branco in Italy, on just days notice, and beat him like a drum on his own soil in front of his own fans.

Lynes in his corner : "I'm ****ed!!!"

I was disappointed with Pauls performance against Khan, but if Bayan ****ing Jargal can literally roll with prescotts hooks and look like sweet pea at times, I think mccloskey can.

No one has even come close to smashing up Prescott, that's my issue with the question. McCloskey's not much of a puncher. End of debate.

I'm not talking about a Khan/Salita job, I'm talking about down the stretch, when mccloskey starts hitting guys(yes insert khan joke here), they seem to feel it, and seem to go down. no mccloskey is not a shavers, and no I dont expect him to stop prescott, but he is much bigger than a kevin mitchell, and if he turns up the heat in the later rounds once prezza starts to fade, he can put a pasting on prescott, don't bet against it.

I hope that happens. But Prescott's a tough nut. He may not be very good, but I've never seen him close to being hurt, let alone stopped.

But yeah, if Paul smashes him, hopefully it make him **** off for good.

I'm a massive prescott fan, no not because of THAT Ko, but because the guy is a pure bad-ass, his quotes are amazing, his self-belief is unwavoring.

I'll tell you this, I won a little cash on prescott against khan, because here was the first guy khan had faced at the time who was not a small lightweight/blown up superfeather (guys who khan had been down against), obviously had a punch, was BIGGER than khan (only others were Martynov and Barrett I believe) and the main thing was the pre-fight build up:

Khan was flashy, shown driving the cars, living in the mansion, going through the motions like it was all a-given. Then came Prescott, training in a virtual cave, had newspapers for curtains, called Khan a "pampered baby"(true at the time) then came out to the arena with the most **** sure, wry smile I've ever seen on a fighter, basically a smile which said "I'm gonna destroy this kid", just like your avvy.

Make no mistake, I love Prescott, but McCloskey is just all wrong for him. Prescott also fades badly, and I can see McCloskey starting to get loose and unload of Prescott, who HAS been trapped on the ropes covering up before.

It will have no effect on khan, it might get him a shot at Maidana though. But Maidana might fight a bigger name in December like Morales or in Maidana's wettest dream a khan rematch.

I'm hoping for a Double KO tomorrow.

2 in 1 would be very nice.

I would love McCloskey to lose a close decision. I want more Cheated not Defeated comedy.
