I mean we know if Manny ever takes the test Mayweather beats the living **** out of him. But the Martinez fight means almost nothing in legacy.

    due to weight difference:

    pac (light welter)
    floyd (welter)
    sergio (superwelter)

pac vs martinez >> floyd martinez >> pac vs. floyd

i disagree. martinez is a very good light middle weight.. and if floyd beats him.. it could somehow override the notion that floyd ducks very good welterweight..

We are talking legacy not some dumb**** haters made up. People are going to look back at Mayweathers resume and be like damn he was fighting the best.
The only people he would have not faught would be P will Margs and Cotto. Marg will be known as the CHEATER he is and was and getting his ass kicked by pac and mosley.

P williams might actually look better legacy wise when u look at the record. But he never really crossed over.

Cotto on the other hand probably will be remembered especially if he beat the CHEATER. But if May beats Manny nobody will care.

:patschThis is why you are a ****in idiot Blizzz. Yes, Martinez' place in a historical sense will not be very high. But TODAY, his status is very high. And since he poses a big threat to FLoyd, it would be a major win for Floyd. Got that *******?

What you are too stupid to see is, you just discredited a win over Ortiz. Where's his place hoistorically comp[ared to Martinez. Who between the two beat better foghters? Who's more difficult for Mayweather? All questions that if you answer hoenstly, show how ******ed yoyu are.

He can also make a name where he's at, or beating Mayweather. He has some options, although they aren't acting fast enough.

What ***s like you don't know is, the jump from 160 to 168 has been almost as difficult as going from CW to HW (pre 200 limit, which I'm sure you have no clue about...).

wasting your time man.....i seriously think 90% of the people on this board get their boxing news from youtube and other parts of this board....
its no different when floyd could have fought cotto, margarito, vernon forrest, but opted for a shot ass DLH who was on paper an easy win and the average dummy would think its a great win because he beat "oscar de la hoya" even though DLH just lost to shane, got his ass kicked by sturm..got knocked out by hopkins... but he beat mayorga..who everyone tends to do...some how that was a great win for floyd....

yeah all the guys you mention mayweather not fighting were all the best of his generations who had the balls to fight each other..while floyd fought featherweights, chop chops, baldomirs, and guys coming off a lose to baldomirs....and the great SHOT DLH who lost 4 of his last 7 and floyd joined the crowd of 4 that beat him....

you can run a list of bogus champions in any division these days. Martinez is the champion and it's legit. The other beltholders don't mean a thing.

We are talking Legacy Martienez means nothing to Mayweather in legacy nobody is ever going to care.

**** right now most people dont even know who Sergio is.

Of course Sergio is a more difficult fight he is two weight divisions bigger than Mayweather. Abraham is a more difficult fight for Mayweather than Manny too.

Sergio can make a name where he is at how? Who at 160? They arent acting fast enough? The guy has no fans he is not acting fast enough. This is all on Sergio.

The jump is difficult? I mean we are talking about legacy is it supposed to be easy?

And the Mayweather ortiz fight at this time means nothing to Mayweathers legacy. Unless Ortiz goes on after this loss to dominate other fighters for a long time. No fight besides Manny will really affect Mayweathers legacy besides maybe Khan if he goes on to have a great career after Mayweather beats him up.
