Floyd's two signature wins were the De La Hoya and Hatton fights. In the Oscar fight, the detractors said that Floyd won because of Oscars age and they said Hatton was too small. Floyd should never have fought Marquez who was too small for him and Mosley was a shot fighter when Floyd fought him.

But if Floyd beats Pacquiao, which i believe he will if they fight. Will Floyds critics say that Pacquiao was too small?

I think he will still get credit for the victory, but regardless of who he beats, there will always be naysayers. They will say it took 3 years to make, therefore Manny aged, or slowed down, while Mayweather Jr. must not have aged in that time. Mayweather Jr. rubs some people the wrong way, so they will not give him credit regardless of what he does.

You know what they gonna say once I beat Pacquiao. Oh you supoosed to beat him, you're Floyd Mayweather.
and if I knock him out, they'll say, you're supposed to knock him out, you're the bigger man. He's been knocked out before.
And if I outbox him, they'll say, it was a boring fight

    Floyd won't get credit.

People will say manny was out of his prime based on his last two performances against Mosley and Marquez, the real reason they make manny look bad is because manny doesn't have enough skills to overcome their styles.

No, Pacquiao is a little guy. He spent his whole career below Hattons weight class and we know Floyd doen't get credit for beating Hatton Or marquez for that matter. Just Floyd picking on another poor little guy.

Lots of Floyd fans posting here in this thread.

Over dramatic. Floyd will got credit if he have fought Cotto at ww, Margarito, or a younger Mosley(instead of Baldomir, lightweight fat JMM etc), what more with Pacquiao who is the best of this generation. He will get tons of credit for betting Pacquiao.
