    lol, Scott was great entertainment back in the day, he was like a scottish Naz with the stuff he used to come out with! Not forgetting coming out to the Superman tune, he had a good following in London if I remember right... Heres some quotes I remember

    "Farnell has a face you would never tire of slapping"(before he fought Farnell.. Arnie got the last laugh though;))

    "boom boom baby" after he landed a lucky punch against Charlie Kane when he was getting outboxed

    Dixon & Gomez years ago would have been a helluva build up, I just hope now for them that no-one gets seriously hurt. Im honestly sad to hear about this fight TBH, you would like to think these two guys would have rode into the boxing sunset of our fond memories by now...

    Totally agree regarding the sunset 'n all Dunky and thats the one guarantee they will both have on the night......its like Thailand over there at that time.........and arriving the day before is well........

    All i want is for Gomez to come out of there safe, Dixons down to 76 atm if i remember right......and Gomez wont even reach 73 i dont think (he will lose 5 kg just getting off the plane)



    Dixon was over sparring Oscar for the week (so am told) and they asked him why he wasnt gonna count his money.....

    Dixon : i cant see :lol:

    He was a proper nutter was Scott, great scottish boxing character. me & my mate shook hands with him at the the Scott Harrison Steve Robinson fight many moons ago! The ups & downs of boxing, watched Scotty lay a beating on Steve, & afterwards after the crowds had long gone I was trying to get a taxi, & there was Steve and his people near me trying to get one too... humbled me a bit that, its certainly no fooballer lifestyle for boxers... even for a guy like Robinson who was a former world champion against the odds...
