Bhop is somewhere laughing right now because the fight is Damn near in the bag already.
I remember when Floyd Sr said Dawson had a weak mind and let his wife wear the pants. I know he loves his family but this fight was the one he was begging for forever. If you really love your family beat the hell out of bhop and cashout on a big pay day and retire because from what I heard his old managers ate up.all his money so he's not financially secure.

Just putting your training camp close to a big family like his destined for interuption, and means he doesn't want the win that bad.

i do believe Hopkins is gonna win, Dawson doesn't seem dedicated enough to the sport, but he does have the style to outbox Hopkins, should still be interesting

Dawson is training with Iceman Scully. It was Scully who trained Dawson in the amateurs and some of his fights in the pros, if you think Hopkins has it in the bag because Dawson parted ways with Steward, you are sadly mistaken.

Dawson just feels like it's less of a hassle to train in CT (his hometown) instead of going to Detroit. Steward is a great trainer but Dawson did win 29 fights without him.

First off it was a round, not a fight.
Secondly, I think it was proven to be a myth.

Ugh training shouldn't be a hassle at all. If Chad is more worried about his family than preparing for Hopkins. Then he shouldn't even be fighting.

How many of those 29 fights were against Hopkins?

Not to go too far off topic, but Pep did indeed win a round without throwing a punch. It only happened because Pep declared he was going to do it, tipped off the media to the fact he was going to attempt it, caused a lot of hoopla among the public over whether he could do it, and was basically awarded the round on fight night for going the entire round without getting hit. It wouldn't have happened had he not turned it into an event in the buildup to the fight.

Anyway, Dawson is an idiot. Not that I think Steward is a great fit for him (I don't), but the idea of refusing to leave your hometown for a training camp a month before the biggest fight on the biggest stage of your life shows a severe lack of focus and motivation. He's simply not interested in being a boxer and deserves what he gets fight night.

Dawson is possibly the biggest disappointment of the last five years.
