This "I like him but hate his fans" is just an excuse to dislike a fighter. When it comes to your favorite boxer you don't pay much notice for his annoying fans. Let alone make threads about it.

 

I guess you've never seen Lewis get KTFO by Rahman. Anyways there's no doubt in my mind Vitali give him a hard fight no matter what, but Lewis would still take it.

 

I'm a big fan of the Klitschko brothers but I'll admit the fans (and the haters) argue too much. Funny b/c I'd bet that when they retire they're give the brothers more credit, but than the next champs will probably be hated on too. Lennon Lewis had some boring fights just like any champ, but when he retired he was appreciated even more. I just wish people wouldn't hate on the K brothers so much and just try to enjoy their fights b/c unlike most heavyweights these days, they come in shape and take boxing very seriously. Anyway, I'm def looking forward to the Vitali vs Adamek fight tomorrow. :good

 

I agree that lunatic fans shouldn't turn you from liking one of your favorites. But make no mistake about it... I never said anything along the lines of "They would be my very favorites if not for their fans, now i hate them" or no **** like that.


I never even said I hated them. I just root for one, not the other, and think their hardcore fans are the worst in boxing.

 

Oh yeah, could have added Pac and it would be the same.

But fun aside, you made good points. I used to HATE the klit fans. They are reminiscent of how the Joe C fanboys are. Like overly arrogant. But I eventually grew out of it, or they quieted down some.

 

There is a distinct type of boxing fan that seems to have a problem with the Klitschko's. This trend repeats itself with alarming regularity. In all truth the fan base of the brothers is probably one of the tertiary reason's for their inherant disdain.


As far as I am concerned; You are not wanted as fan's. Now kindly **** off and go watch Tim-mouthy Bradley headbutt his way to victory and call it real boxing skills.

 

So everyone is supposed to just accept it when people make the claim that they are the greatest ever and would "smear" any heavyweight from any era?



And anytime someone points out why that is some obvious bull****, someone always says people are hating on them for some alterior motive or some ****.
