If Burns vs Katsidis does take place in Glasgow I hope to **** it's in the Kelvin Hall. I hate Braehead for boxing.

 

I honestly feel Katsidis is a level above Ricky and would do exactly what he wanted to him , he is a better boxer and a bigger puncher with better movement and better ring IQ , Ricky's defence is pretty solid and id give him the edge in that dept , but i dont see ****** putting Ricky Burns in with Katsidis as his debut @LW , kudos if he does mind you !!!

 

I can't see Voldermort putting Burns in with Katsidis straight away tbh'. I don't even think he'll put him in with someone like Murray straight away

Rickys one of the nicest guys in boxing and i know for a fact he would fight anyone. I once had a chat with Ricky and he was telling me he loves boxing that much that when hes older and finished he would even be a journeyman to get to 100 fights. I was also told when he was a young am he got two seperate am cards just so he could fight twice a week.
Billy once brought Ricky down to my gym he had just eaten on the way down and didnt realise we would be training straight away when he got here. Even tho he was a champion he didnt moan he got in and did loads of rounds with some top prospects.
When i had Gomez fighting him, Gomez was trying to get to him, sticking his head in his face etc, on the way home Gomez laughed and said fook me its hard to do this hes such a nice kid! True story
I dont think Morrison does him any favours with his strange comments etc

I have always been a Burns fan, up until this week, he may be a nice guy but real champions in this sport don't duck people and make shitty defences.

He was on ringside saying he will be fighting Broner next...1 week later "I cant make the weight" :huh do you know what that is my friend? potent bull****.

 

In the other thread on this Burns is quoted as saying he can make SFW fine, it seem's his management is the problem, not the fighter. You can argue the fighter has a say, and in that case Ricky need's to put his foot down

 

I just dont think its Burns fault mate. I genuinly think Burns would fight anyone i think the decision is being taken off him.

 

I don't blame Burns either mate, but he's being made out to look like a coward by those in his team. Not only that, but thanks to Billy acting like a complete tosser on here he's losing the support of the hardcore fans.

 

The fight is only being bandied around cos Kats has lost his last 2 and looks to be on the decline. he planned to move up to 140 and is seen as struggling to make the weight at 135 hence the decision to fight him possibly.

Kats is seen to be on the decline since the death of his brother, personal life is in turmoil with grief.
Kats is seen to be struggling to make weight and wants to move up. He is a name and can elevate Burns's profile.

Saying all this, I still favour Katsidis to get the win. Burns has got a decent beard but I think Kats can crack it after setting traps and seizing upon opportunities that Burns provides for him. I would favour Burns if he had a win over Fana or Broner but really I still don't know what pedigree he has because is record is wafer thin bar Martinez.

For me it's gonna be Katsidis. It makes the most sense from VVarren having working relationship with Katsidis people. Billy saying that and fact Katsidis has always been involved in the WBO merry-go-round at LW.
