I hope Vitali makes him have TWO rematch clauses, one with him and another with Wladimir.

Saying that though if Haye miraculously won on points he'd just then retire and not honour the rematch clauses.

Hype is good. Look how much publicity haye's talking brought to the fight. He was much less regarded than chag or byrd but the fight was much bigger.

It just amuses me how vitali's biggest fans go to lengths to talk down his opponents because they prevent themselves giving the big man any credit.

Exactly, people were always saying that haye would make excuses and pull out of the wlad fight but he went through it, i think david will let his hands go a little more in the fight as Vitali isnt as mobile as wladimir and can be hit much easier. Like i said on the other thread, if this happens and Haye pulls it off somehow, i bet he wouldnt get his props, as people will say he fought a washed up vitali at 40 despite nobody mentioning that his washed up at the mo...

Some people are far too harsh on Haye. Yes he talks bollocks (more than most) and yes he didn't back it up in many cases but loads of people never thought he would even have the guts to get into the ring with Wlad at all. And ok he didn't throw that many punches but he showed good defence and Wlad hardly let it all go. He's still one of the best heavyweights on the planet so wouldn't harm Vitali's legacy at all.

Frankly I'm glad. At least he adds some pizzazz to the division, but let's not expect him to go guns ablazing vs any top contenders.
I mean he could fight and beat Fury for a HUGE payday, and knock him down to size, same goes for Price. He could still take out and maybe finish Rahman, that would be nice.
I'd really love to see him get it on with Solis. Seeing that fat POS KTFO would be lovely. Itd also be a big $$$ fight that could get made.

Fights I think he'd take and make big $$$ would be in order....
    Holyfield(win or lose vs Sasha)
    Rahman
    Sasha(see above)
Adamek (tough fight, but I think Haye wins)
    Fury
    Price
    Solis............and then.........
    K2
He could make all these fights before his 33rd birthday, but he should really wait until the very end to try Wlad or Vitali. He could beat all those guys except K2 right now and make big $$$$ leading up to rematch or a farewell to both fight with Vitali.

Fights he should avoid like the plague b/c they don't pay and he'd most likely lose........
Helenius, Chambers, Rodriguez, Welliver, Wach, Dimitrenko, Chagaev, Pulev. No $$$$ and huge risk.

his toe excuse was embarrassing too.

if haye fights vitali, vitali will show us how to stop haye! no more exuses for haye.

he would probably have to fight wlad if he wins as usual...he purse split will be in vitalis favour. However, if haye beats Vitali, he wil have the other belt and will want to negotiate his own terms, as the rematch with wlad would be huge and could be marketed very easily despite the first borefest, so im guessing there will be problems on the negotiation table, even though he has to eat humble pie on this one and be grateful for the shot.
