The ultra-tired and ignorant argument that Jess Willard and Primo Carnera show that size is irrelevant has got to stop. They were lumbering circus freaks back then. Today, humans are much larger, and the athleticism of the largest athletes is exponentially greater. Wlad is fast, both his hands and feet. He would have destroyed Marciano, Dempsey, all the great 185-200lb HW champs. And that's no slight to them. They were and are ATGs at that weight, but it's a different world with a different HW division now. 250lbs with both great speed and agility was absolutely unheard of back then.

Actually Willard was a rather skilled and underrated Heavyweight (way better than Carnera anyway), and had a style very similar to Vitali's ie hands low, leaning back from punches, good use of the jab and right hand...

Vitali is basically Jess Willard, but slightly more athletic and bit bigger. In fact describing Vitali as Willard 2.0 wouldn't be that far off really.

Why do people think Williard and Carnera were just freak shows? That's going the other way with it.

Marciano would probably lose, but the thing is he would be getting hit far less than people think. He's not going to be taken out on a body bag because you get 2 unassertive robots in front of him (Well mainly Wlad). Marciano was the greatest HW at fighting small. He's going to have his own difficulties hitting Wlad & Vitali, but if he gets to their body with an impartial ref that won't allow non-stop clinching then he could do some damage. The likeliest outcome is a decision win for the robots. Wlad may KO Rocky but it's going to take him to take some assertiveness to do it, otherwise Rocky may give Wlad a mild panic attack.

Yes, the K brother are strong favorites, but think of it like this. Adamek is a blown up LHW that can't really punch worth ****, and he's probably got no business out-boxing Vitali but that will be his plan. The two that beat Vitali tried to back him up and fight him. Adamek odds are like 4:1 against him or something. Well Marciano definitely has just as good of odds as Adamek, most likely better because Adamek basically has nill chance of out-boxing Vitali unless he ages overnight.

Marciano has the best defense in HW history. He was a come-forward offensive fighter, and he was only hurt twice in his entire career. He was rarely hit with a flush shot.

So how will Vitaly land a good punch on Marciano if he couldn't land anything clean on Chris Byrd?

Add the fact that Marciano throws countless punches, has endless stamina, and excellent power, and you have an easy KO win.

Tonight Tomasz Adamek will give you an idea of what Marciano would do to him.

When you're wrong about this and Adamek gets concisely beat will you admit you're basically wrong about everything? At least when it comes to Marciano? You do his fans a disservice by acting exactly as one-sided as the K fans do about their fighters.

Yes. Vitali is no phenom when it comes to athleticism, relying more on his height and unorthodox style to avoid punches. His brother is actually the more athletic of the two.

Also Willard KO'd Jack Johnson in the 26th round of their fight in Havana. Now call me crazy, but I think going 26 rounds in the scorching heat requires a pretty ****ing good amount of athleticism. And if that isn't enough, Jess also used to work as a farm hand, which required carrying a large amount of weight around for a least a couple of hours a day.

Vitali by mid to late rounds TKO. Most likely a stoppage on cuts.
