He didn't show anything that Kevin Johnson did not also show vs Vitali, yet no-one is clamouring to see Safetypin again anytime soon. It's a damn sight easier having great defense if you are not punching - fighters are vulnerable when they attack and Haye just didn't. Dancing around on the outside doing nothing isn't really great defense.

Haye stood in range and dodged Wlads so called best in the history of boxing jab with ease just by moving his head.

Even Queenpin didn't fall down for no reason like Haye.

HEEELLLOO? Lateral movement is the proven method to take away a guys jab - but it's only worth something if you ACTUALLY ATTACK. If you have quick feet and reflexes, it's not that hard to neutralize a jab, if that's all you want to do - the hard part is transitioning to attack while STILL slipping it so you can get inside. That's what Haye didn't or couldn't do and there's no reason to believe he'll be able to against Vitali.

No, Haye moved side to side while moving his head - and that's how you slip a jab. That's not neccessarily a reflection on the quality of the jab. Wlad maybe should have led more with the left hook, but he didn't really need to: enough of those jabs still landed to keep Haye inactive on the outside for most of the fight. If Haye could slip the jab and get inside or manage to come in over it with more regularity, it might be a different story. Running around in a circle doesn't make you Pernell Whitaker.

Unless he fights and beats a couple of contenders, he can f*ck off. He doesn't deserve another payday.

Dude watch both fights again and then come back and talk that shite.

Look at Wlad's face at the end of the fight, then look at Haye's face. Go back and watch rounds 3-7 and round 12, and then talk that shite about Haye performing like KJ.

I'm not pretending Wlad-Haye was in anyway a close fight but there is a strong case to be made that Haye had the best showing vrs. Wlad since Peter I.

I've watched both fights and I think I prefer KJ's performance. Haye's face was also more marked than Safetypins if you think that makes a difference. The flopping alone makes Haye's perfomance near the worst of any Wlad opponent in recent memory. He gavea horrible, horrible showing - you don't get points for just surviving in my book. Hell, Eddie Chambers did better than Haye even though he got ktfo. In fact, this might be why Haye wants to fight on: Payday aside, if he retires on the Wlad debacle he won't have the post-boxing options he was probably banking on.

Welliver is going to smash Rob Calloway in China on Oct. 3rd, after that he'd like to beat the hell out of the only other chins in HW Boxing that can compare to his....Oliver McCall is 1st. Then hopefully we will get to see a real HW collision. Welliver vs Vitali. The trio is by far the best 3 sets of whiskers in the division...sorry James but you are a CW now that you have had your tummy tucked and are really a MW.

After we get done with the CW pony show, Haye vs Wlad, Mormeck vs Wlad, Vitali vs Adamek, Vitali vs Haye. Then we can again see a real HW war. The winner of Welliver and McCall which could and should happen in December in Vegas, will be the only challenger to walk in the ring with K2 with a set of skills to give these guys a run for their money. Yes, a 46 year old Oliver McCall would put up a much better fight than these tiny CW's, some of which have very questionable chins....Haye.

The pony show was cool for a couple fights to prove the point. Now though, we need some guys with chins who are not runners to step up. Arreola should be testing Wlad next and Vitali should be setting up for the winner of a McCall and Welliver match. A slim Arreola and a Welliver/McCall winner would bring us much better fights than Mormeck and Haye. Let them guys go see Steve USS Cunningham. Or Lebedev after he kicks Toney's arse.

Vit's fights are nearly always more entertaining than those involving his brother.
