The way Vitali dominates his foes...it shows how good Lewis was and I am one of those guys who thought Lewis lost and ran but that doesn't matter because NOBODY fought Vitali like Lewis. The more Big-V wins the better Lewis' recognition gets. Word byatches!
Vitali being an All Time Great makes Lewis' win look better. Obviously. It would be the same if Haye becomes an ATG heavyweight. Wlad's legacy would be benefitted.
By default you're right. If Vitali establishes himself as a top 15 ATG, then Lewis's stoppage looks even better. I think vitali would have took the rematch hence Lwis retired at the right time.
Lewis did clearly win; he beat up vitali so badly he could no longer continue. could lewis have continued as champ without a rematch? ofcourse not. that's just a passing of the torch moment though.
Vitali and Lewis are both great fighters! But Lewis is the better man. That takes nothing away from Vitali Vitali knows Lewis is a great champ. Vitali wanted the rematch, but Lewis no longer had the fire if those guys fought 100 fights, they would be 100 great fights. But Lewis would win more.
i agree lewis has balls to knock out vitali from behind on points/ and to take those right hands....everybody says lewis has no chin/ that aint true........lewis fuked up vitalis face badly
You guys aren't understanding me tonight..... It's not about who won or lost Vitali vs Lewis it's about the fact both these guys are so close and Vitali is owning everyone he faces it only serves to highlight Lewis' greatness too.
Let's look at the facts: Lewis busted Vitali's face up - something no other fighter has done. Vitali was just as exhausted as Lewis - something no other fighter has done. Lewis hit Vitali with huge shots - something no other fighter has done. In 6 rounds Lewis won 2 - something no other fighter has done in 12. Lewis dragged Vitali into a war - something no other fighter has done. Even when hurt Lewis was giving as good as he got - something no other fighter has done. Lewis hurt Vitali - something no other fighter has done. Need I mention he was past prime compared to some of the "prime" fighters today?
Sanders hurt Vitali too but yea, anything positive Vitali does makes all of his opponents look a little bit better. That's the way boxing works. The better your opponents are, the better you are.
