I agree. beofre tonight I was convinced small mobile quicker fighters would beat him as well as tall boxer punchers.

tonight and especially if he beats haye, I'll be happy that vitali can beat smaller more mobile fighters.

bro, sorry but that is embarrassing. Vitali slow, feather fisted, a robot???? No fluidity? no jab? no handspeed?

    what???????????????????

Adamek is fit and he is bigger than half of the fighters of 70s. As far as skills go, one doesn't become CW champ by being a bum.

Not really, since he performed exactly as I thought he would (barring my margin of era by a round or two) and dominated from start to finish :huh

Adamek was never that great at Heavyweight, and it's obvious he was never going to be. He struggled with what was basically a shot Michael Grant. Like I said it was a good performance by Vitali, but nothing the majority of people already didn't expect.

well if you called a 9th round stoppae you was wrong. I too was wrong since i called a close points win for tomasz. both of us need to return to the drawing board.

Your comparing Adamek to Marciano  Come on LUFC. Adamek isn't skilled and is a Chad Dawson left over and went life and death with Briggs and Arreola. Marciano is a league above Adamek in skillset and power, he actually knows how to fight small, ie crouch, Adamek does not

But yes Vitali may make a top20 when all is said and done

no no it's ok I just don't get it cause I have always seen Vitali as an elite, intelligent, dynamic, and heavyhanded fighter who is unorthodox but very effectif.

I didn't say he was a bum... but mediocre at Heavyweight?, yes, definitely.

No he didn't. You bought that hype. Adamek was never going to Spinks Vitali. He doesn't have the speed, the mobility, the skills, nor the balance. Sure he can out-box ploddy Arreola. But that's it. Look at how Adamek did against Grant. He nearly lost like 3 rounds and got stunned. This is a 40 year old never was no hoper Grant. His balance is so **** McBride swooped him on the floor. Adamek has always always been hittable and easy to out-box if you had skills or speed. Dawson concisely out-boxed this guy at his natural weight (LHW). Vitali has the size, reach, and just as many skills. Adamek had nill chance. No chance to move and out-box Vitali on the outside. He held no advantages to do so anyway. He overcame nothing. This fight showed it too. You're right in only one sense. He was supposed to be. But he wasn't. We saw the fight. Adamek is not Haye. He held no advantages.

Are you kidding me? You're probably right. Vitali crushes them because he's far too big and he's skilled. It's very likely a forgone win. But Adamek being used as some model for movement, speed, skills, and outside boxing abilities to prove an ATG like Tunney would have no chance is silly. Tunney would probably run himself to a decision loss but he wouldn't look nearly as bad.

Didn't look so invincible or hot against Byrd in comparison to Adamek though, either.

    Michele Bachman caliber candidate, yeah.

If the old age achievement argument is your basing for a top 20 placement that's fine, although a stretch for me. He's not much different because he hasn't had many fights and had rest from injuries. His record just doesn't stack up and warrant such placement IMHO.

A prime opponent? Adamek is horrible, the win proved nothing. And for the record, Marciano could bring much more to the table. He hit like a truck and was a true warrior. If he did lose to Vitali he would have went out like a warrior.

lol I've had a few bottles of stella but I stand by my point.

not so much a comparison but more of an interpolation.

watching tonight I can't see anything marciano would have done to defeat vitali.

I'm not comapring the two, rocky is leagues above tomasz, but I see now way rocky could beat vitali and before tonight I wouldn't have been so convinced about that.
