McCloskey won most of the 12th round, so it should go to him. I didn't know the rules were ''McCloskey must win 90% of the round, otherwise score it to Prescott''.
the last round was a tough one to score McCloskey had the better exchanges then Prescott finished strong.
mccloskey was wobbled badly and very hurt in the last 30 seconds. the round up to that point was pretty close either way. i dont see how you can give that to mccloskey when he was hurt and wobbly in the last 30 seconds and almost went down actually. then at the end of the fight he was wobbling around the ring and could hardly stand. prescott would have had him out if the round went on for 30 seconds longer
I can see where your coming from but i think you need to rewatch it, prescott had the last 20 that always stands out in a fight but in all fairness you got to feel for the paddy he got closelined and the reff counted it as a knockdown.
McCloskey got hurt by ONE shot. Then he covered up and ducked into Prescott and got hit with a couple dozen rabbit punches. Prescott landed ONE good right. One.
Im truly amazed to hear that, I was watching on a cheeky wee internet site, & an ad was covering the bottom of the screen, so I couldnt see Glenns scorecard. FFS, Prescott beat him badly in that last round, McCloskey was on ***** street for most of it! I noticed it was the second Glenn said "if I give Prescott one more round then hes got it" both he & the main commentator seemed to go McCloskey crazy for the rest of the fight.
Utter bull****. He hurt him in the last half minute with one punch. Everything afterward got blocked or was a rabbit punch. Before that McCloskey had been up in the round.
u can't score a rd like that to mccloskey. if mccloskey was boxing his head off for 2 minutes maybe. but it was nip and tuck then prescott got him going. clearly prescott's rd.
Just telling it as I saw it my good man. Dudeys style just doesnt do it for me, a nice shot here, a nice shot there, & nothing inbetween. When a man like Prescott comes to win boxing behind the jab & keeping busy, how anyone can have Dudey winning with an early KD against him is beyond me.(he was unlucky with the KD though) & in the last, there wasnt even any nice shots here & there from McCloskey, he simply survived.
:good Good man. Way to not be swayed by a bit of sound and fury following one solid shot, and not forget about the 2 minutes preceding the dramatic finish.
It was nip and tuck with McCloskey clearly doing better. Then Prescott "got him going"? He landed one good punch. McCloskey went into hedgehog mode. Prescott didn't land anything else despite flapping away for thirty seconds. The round is still McCloskey's.
