Ortiz to shock the world?

Ortiz's only flaw that really worries me and what will be a factor in this fight is that he over committs and leaves himself wide open (when he throws that left hand watch his legs he squares them up while inside) Look for Mayweather Uppercuts in this fight we are going to uppercut city here.

He does over committ all the way around but if there is one area you want to clean up thats the spot and if he can atleast bring that to the ring this may end up being a good fight

 

I suppose that's the only thing we can rest hope on. He at least seems to be showing very little respect, and holds the kind of naivety one would need to not be intimidated by a bigger force. Which can be a good or a bad thing. It's reminiscent of Hatton, in some ways. He [Hatton] thought he could just walk through and rough up the brittle Mayweather, but ended up making foolish mistakes in the process. Ortiz could fall victim the same way. The only doubt I have in my mind, is whether this is going to be a Hatton Part II, or a Gatti Part II. :think

And I personally think Floyd's durability is underrated.

 

Since when were southpaws known for having vicious jabs? Most of them favor a lead str8 left + right hook combo.

But Ortiz almost stopped peterson in the early rounds.. What if he got floyd in trouble in the early rounds?? :think

 

I doubt it.. Ortiz will win some rounds. Vitali beat adamek like he was a 12 year old! Atleast adamek tried to win, He deserves all the credit in the world for that but vitali really beat the living **** out of him! VK is a beast :deal

Honestly Floyd has been a very unimpressive Welter. Has shown little power and looked very shakey vs Mosley, as Floyd was lucky Shane was gassed after the first 5 minutes.
He got the credit for turning the fight around but logically speaking if you re watch Mosley was spent and punched out.

The pace is going to be his worst enemy. Ortiz will throw 50 punches a round most with power. It won't be a small older fighter wasting energy by carrying extra weight or reaching to land. Oldest and most inactive FLoyd vs a younger fighter is no walk in the park @ WW.

 

2 words that spell doom for Ortiz and an honest fight.

 

Lets see Floyd will actually be closer to Vic's size on fight night, not severely undersized like Lamont was against Vic.

Floyd can also recover very quickly and tie up extremely well.

I don't doubt that Floyd would be able to buy time to recover against Ortiz if caught and wobbled.

I do doubt that Victor can handle Floyd walking him into power shots like Lamont was doing in the fight. Lamont was buckling Vic's legs around round 9 and boxing circles around him.

 

This is an easy fight for Floyd. I like Ortiz but he is not on Floyd's level. Floyd gets us fans to believe that also. He always picks fighter who come off impressive performances so we will believe the fighter has a great chance. Ortiz has no jab, no defense, can't beat Floyd on the inside or mid range, footwork isn't good, he doesn't adjust, telegraphs his punches, can't fight going backwards, doesn't know how to clinch when hurt, etc. I could keep going on. Floyd will fight Ortiz toe to toe. He won't be moving around the ring. What Floyd will do is counter Ortiz when he comes in. Slip and counter. He will also go to the body on Ortiz. Ortiz was able to kick Berto's ass on the inside because Berto can't fight on the inside. Floyd's inside game is def better than Ortiz's. How I see the fight ending is Ortiz gets caught with a punch(possibly a counter right or left) and gets hurt. Since Ortiz doesn't know how to clinch Floyd will stop him. Late round stoppage for Floyd.

 

i really don't care who wins i just want to see a great fight

 

I think the real shock is gonna be when people witness the power from Money that many believe he dont have.:bbb:bbb:bbb

 

Victor looked very good @ 147! Better than any fight @140.. He took power shots from the power puncher andre berto and he showed he carried his power! :deal
